"Extremely passionate, an idealist, straightforward, a perfectionist," are just some of the words used to describe Sushmendra Dubey, popularly known as Dubs, and his photography.

Not only is he a photographer who explores and seeks different forms of truth through his lens, but Dubs is also a brand consultant who brings a fresh perspective. With extensive experience in the world of advertising as a creative director, he has been a part of Draft FCB Ulka, McCann-Erickson, Saatchi & Saatchi and LOWE Lintas, working on a range of multinational brands and creative challenges.

Born in India, Dubs studied commercial arts at the Fine Arts Faculty of the College of Arts, New Delhi and his education allowed him to learn all about working with light and camera techniques. He loves to click multiple categories, as he says "you can’t enjoy eating the same dish every day, even if it is your favourite. Experimenting with different subjects gives you more freshness, a unique outlook and an expanded vision."

Dubs' photography - be it fashion, industrial or food - evokes a natural, captivating mood and spontaneity that has led his work to be described as "aggressive, yet sensual".
