Born in Blackpool in the north of England, Gary Salter studied graphics and photography at Liverpool before moving to London, where he is currently based. He produces bold images with a distinctive and unique photographic style and quirky sense of humour.

His work receives critical acclaim both in the UK and Internationally. In 2009 Gary received awards from the Association of Photographers for his personal ‘Trainspotting’ series, a D&AD for work completed for Think! road safety, a Scottish advertising awards for his recent Bulmers campaign, and an Altpic award  for his personal ‘Waterpolo’ project.

More recently, Gary has been commissioned for several moving image projects for clients including Absolute Radio and Giffgaff, amongst others.
