John Hutchinson is a New York City-based location scout. For over 20 years he has provided scouting and managing services for film and print. Though he lives in Manhattan’s East Village and finds locations, obtains permits, and manages shoots in the New York area, he has also worked throughout the USA and the world.

John has scouted some extraordinary places in 45 States and 50 countries, including California, Utah, Arizona, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Costa Rica, Vietnam, the Caribbean, Tunisia, China, New Zealand, Senegal, Jordan, Indonesia, Australia, Dubai, Thailand and the Bronx.

He has scouted for photographers like Mert & Marcus, Juergen Teller, Ellen von Unwerth, Patrick Demarchelier, Philip-Lorca Dicorcia, Karl Lagerfeld, Craig McDean, Nadav Kander, Koto Bolofo, Mary Ellen Mark, Mark Seliger and Albert Watson.
