CARS & LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY Feb 2009

Frank Kayser has spent a lot of time on the road over recent months, travelling around the world directing shoots for Audi, Red Bull, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz in locations as diverse as Kazakhstan, Iceland, Japan, China and Australia. He also had front-row seats to document the launch of a space rocket in Baikonur, his team being the first to be granted permission to record the event.

Frank earned his reputation through the unique style and intonation of his work. Familiar subjects are seldom found in his images, and his shooting method leads to pictures that exude a powerful strength and clearly defined sense of improvisation. Shooting for Lamborghini on an aircraft carrier was one of the break-through images of his career.

Featured in this Spotlight are scenes from his production for the new Audi R8 V10, along with a selection of photos for Volkswagen and Lamborghini, shot in Portugal and Japan respectively.
