Dominic Episcopo is a Philadelphia-based, internationally recognised artist and pioneer of food photography and the lifestyle photography movement. His early inspiration centered on low-fi rock and roll, and the ability to capture the candid, even in portraiture.

His iconic book, 'Meat America', explores the uniquely American relationship and identification-with meat, exploring the personification of different cuts. His photography of food is equally studied and personal. It evokes the lush displays of a Baroque still life, with the mis-en-scene of Italian neorealism.
