Barcelona-based Dutch photographer, Jaap van den Beukel, is involved with staged photography, shooting people, portraiture and fashion assignments. His subjects are photographed in settings where both background and model are equally important. The results have been used in annual reports and campaigns for advertising agencies, as well as in several personal projects:
- 2006: 'Once were Heroes' - homeless people photographed as models.
- 2007: 'Invisible' - portraits of Dutch prisoners in Morocco.
- 2008: 'Gross' - theatrical images.
Over recent years he has worked for clients including Unilever, Shell, AGFA, Danone (Numico), Senternovem, Nestlé, Forbo, RET, Stivoro, ING, SNS Reaal and the City of Rotterdam.
Jaap is represented in Germany by Xing and in Spain by Capetona.
