Daniel Fortmann's expertise lies in HDR and landscape photography. As a former student of F.C. Gundlach, he has a keen-eye for cinematic elegance that gives his large-scale images their ultimate edge.
Daniel works for a wide variety of clientele, including the renowned Dosch Design. Whenever clients require stunning backplates and 360° HDRI-spheres he travels to remote locations such as Mongolia, Japan, the Uyuni salt desert of Bolivia, or just to Hamburg for the right shot. He also shoots backplates as stereoscopic images with a custom-made camera rig.
His photos are frequently used in many CGI and post productions and he also specialises in 'walkarounds', both as backgrounds for CGI renderings and finalised products. Daniel has the special equipment and skills to meet industry and agency standards, enabling him to create Gigapans of up to 300,000 pixels in width - which even nowadays are rarely seen in the photographic world.
