In collaborations with his clients, Rich seeks a careful balance allowing an object's design to inform the lighting and composition before applying digital tools to arrive at the best solution. His signature work for clients like MAC Cosmetics and Maybelline NY has made him one of the most exciting and sought-after talents that has come to the market in a long time.

Rich grew up in New York's Hudson Valley and received a BFA in photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. Upon graduating he moved to NYC, assisting other photographers before setting out on his own in 2005. He lives with his wife and daughter in Manhattan.
