Photography Intern

Hours: 3 days per week, 10-6 (must be able to work Saturday)

David Zwirner is seeking a part-time paid Photography Intern for its secondary market gallery, at 537 West 20th Street. 1-2 years of applicable experience in an arts-related or photography-related field is preferred.

-Highly proficient in Adobe imaging software
-Highly proficient in color management (i.e., maintaining color integrity of artworks from initial photography through printing)
-Experience working with Epson professional photo printers
-Proficient in managing and trafficking large quantities of images (resizing, labeling,
& filing) in a highly organized & detailed manner
-Proficient in scanning & scanning software
-Comfortable completing basic photography of artworks and exhibitions with a digital SLR

-Supply high-quality prints for museum and client packages, inventory binders, presentation portfolios, and art fairs (8x10” and larger formats)
-Organize, manage quality, and disseminate all photos taken for the gallery and/or supplied by artists and institutions: includes editing, re-sizing and labeling digital images, as well as labeling & filing transparencies
-Scanning transparencies, slides, prints, & catalogues
-Update the gallery website with images and text on a regular basis
-Take placeholder digital shots of artworks and exhibition installs as needed
