"Imagine yourself in the enviable position of choosing Cuba or Colombia for your next campaign location. Not a bad dilemma, right? 7 Seas clients often face this choice, so let's weigh up both options for you.
Cuba really is the heart of the Caribbean. It has all the charm you could ever expect, while Havana has the cars, yes! It also has the architecture, in every hue imaginable for photos that truly pop. And the impeccable beaches, like Cayo Coco, are only a short distance from the capital. American clients can forget the political embargos, 7 Seas will take care of everything for a completely carefree production.
Colombia offers what Cuba does, with a handful of small differences. Like Cartagena, here the old and new worlds have collided in beautiful and unexpected ways, evident largely in the plush interiors and grand architecture. Cartagena is also hurricane-free due to its unique location, so don’t let that stop you.
Still not sure? Call 7 Seas today. The team has been producing in this part of the world for over 20 years so they know their stuff. Recent clients include Zimmermann, Hermes and For Love & Lemons, to name a few. Want to be next?"

"Take Me To Cuba is celebrating its 20th anniversary as the number one production company on the island.
Over the years, Cuba has certainly evolved, but don’t worry, she still remains very recognizable! Havana's old town has still got that charm, only now it’s dotted with elegant boutique hotels and cozy cafés, a sign that the economy continues to grow. And the clean turquoise waters of the surrounding beaches remain a major draw card for clients. One thing that will never change though are the friendly and inviting locals. They are the real stars of this beautiful country.
TMTC is a mix of European and long-serving local team members, giving clients world-class producers armed with local knowledge. After all, it’s essential to speak Cuban in Cuba!
Considering Cuba for your next campaign? It’s only a phone call away!"

"7 Seas carries Latin America in their heart and soul. After 20 years of continuous work, they have successfully established Cuba, Colombia and Argentina as top production sites in the world. No big deal.
For complete production support across Latin America, 7 Seas is the right choice. With their experience, professionalism and a portfolio of work that speaks for itself, this team just keeps on delivering.
What makes Latin America so great for productions? If you ask 7 Seas they would say the people, firstly. And secondly? The locations. They have some of the most lust-worthy locations in the world and are definitely worth the visa and customs processes. Which by the way, 7 Seas take complete care of. Along with booking crew dinners, organising transportation and equipment rentals and everything else in between, like having extra paracetamol and phone chargers on standby.
Do as J.Crew, Bergdorf Goodman, and For Love and Lemons did, and go somewhere you have never been with 7 Seas."

"Scorching temperatures in Europe and the US are finally upon us, so what’s the dilemma? Where to shoot convincing AW19/20 campaigns and editorials! The answer lies in South America, with 7 Seas Productions. Argentina, Chile and Patagonia are all in the midst of their winter months and the settings are superb.
Positioned in the heart of South America’s largest nature reserve is Seven Lakes. Like all good things, these lakes come in sevens, just as the name suggests. Here there are picturesque mountain backdrops, incredible flora and fauna and wild river rapids - all ideal for winter productions. The 7 Seas team operates out of Barlioche and right now everybody is skiing the snow-capped moutains at Cerro Catedral, South America’s largest ski resort.
Need a glacier? No problem! The region is also home to the Perito Moreno glacier and it’s a stone’s throw south of Bariloche.
So for a winter destination that’s a little more exotic, think South America and think 7 Seas Productions. Call the team today with your brief!"

Who to call for campaign and editorial productions in Cuba, Colombia and Argentina? 7 Seas Productions, that’s who! Three distinct countries, all linked by a special kind of magic - just ask 7 Seas, who have been taking clients to these parts for over 20 years.
Cuba’s narrative is nowhere more clearly written than on its architecture. The bold coloured houses reflecting the warm locals, the peeling paint revealing a complex past and the restoration of the city’s most precious buildings a sign of a bright future.
Colombia is home to some of the best beaches in Latin America, hands down. Cartagena specifically is having a second coming, catering for the new bourgeois, which is evident in the boutique hotels and private casas in the city centre - all perfect locations for fashion shoots.
Argentina is as diverse as it is captivating. Buenos Aires is made up of many neighborhoods that feel distinctly unique yet also very European.
"Forget the paperwork and leave all of that to 7 Seas. All you need to worry about is choosing where to go!"

TAKE ME TO CUBA Location Scouts and Production Services
“What does Havana look like today?" That’s quite a common question the team at 7 Seas are asked. The political landscape has evolved in recent years and with it, so too has the island. Two things remain unchanged, the incredible locations and the friendly locals.
Havana is continuing to shine bright, with new hotels and top restaurants opening up across the city. It’s a sign of the cultural landscape evolving and it makes coming to Cuba even more enticing. The architecture in vibrant colours and the energetic streets are still what make this place a real drawcard for productions, and there is no shortage of this.
Since 1999, Take Me To Cuba has been bringing clients to this beautiful part of the world and it’s fair to say there is no company better equipped to produce on the island with. The customs processes, visas and other paper work is handled in totality and all on-ground transport, accommodation, catering, location scouting and even local casting and equipment rental needs are taken care of.

7 Seas Productions Location Scouts and Production Services
With an emphasis on locations to match any brief, 7 Seas has the strongest grips on Colombia, Cuba and Argentina over any other operators in the same region.
Looking closely at Colombia, the time is ripe to come. What did the New York Times write in their weekend January 5th-6th issue? “Colombia gets better and better! The country hums with energy and possibility, offering a thriving environment for creativity." The word is spreading about its unspoiled beauty and photo and film productions are inevitably making their way. Cartagena is the loveliest city in Latin America: the historical atmosphere, the grand interiors, fused with a recent cosmopolitan influence makes for a very inimitable place to capture on film.
Then there’s the Rosario Islands and Santa Marta beaches, as close to a taste of heaven as mortally possible. Here, the water is a perfect turquoise and the sand a brilliant white. Selecting which stretch of beach to shoot a summer campaign or editorial will be about the most challenging part of producing in Colombia.

The laid-back yet cosmopolitan allure of Cartagena first started gaining attention internationally when John Lennon and Yoko Ono arrived in the 70s. Now, Cartagena is a top contender among Latin American vanguard cities. From a production point of view, it's the dynamic architecture, a fusion of colonial chic that is found in the plazas and the colourful houses that line the streets.
Add to this amazing white-sand beaches with wooden jetties, palm trees and private casas along the coast of Cartagena and on the Rosario Islands and you have a complete production wonderland. It has infrastructure, equipment rental and production specialists on the ground ready to open every colonial home and boutique hotel door in the area.
The 7 Seas team first figured out what made the Colombian Caribbean special more than 12 years ago, when they started producing work here - which wasn´t all that hard given one of the team is a native born Colombian! They saw the magic immediately and knew it would translate on film for clients.
Call 7 Seas for advice or even to organise a recce trip to see first-hand. "The only danger in visiting Cartagena is wishing not to leave!"

"'Now, that was a production!' clients say, boarding the plane after a shoot. It's always an amazing experience. Take me to Cuba is the longest standing photo production service in Cuba. The latter has been getting a lot of deserved attention lately for the spectacular diplomatic rapprochement between Washington and Havana.
And Havana is still the same, no matter what, and Cuba is much more than Havana. Even though advancing day by day, it still retains the atmosphere of 1940s sepia photographs with high ceiling fans and mahogany rum racks. Its people combine homegrown creativity and fresh forward loveliness with the Salsa beat and vitality of Latin America.
The creative production crew of Take me to Cuba speaks Cuban. With the authorities, for productions the most important thing is to get in, to get the work visa, which in reality is a walk in the park when you know how. Once you are in you move like fish in water. Take me to Cuba's team takes care of that part and of scouting, catering, crew hiring, equipment rental, hotel booking - whatever your flavor is. 7 Seas Productions is the first international production services to set foot in Colombia, with an office situated in Cartagena on the Colombian Caribbean coast. Recently described by the New York Times as being Tulum 2.0, Cartagena is fast becoming the next location hotspot.
Cartagena’s character is contained in two small, stunningly photogenic neighbourhoods: the walled colonial Old City and the rising barrio Getsemaní. Offshore Cartagena, one finds 28 islands protected by a reef, with shimmering blue-green waters and villas that overlook the shoreline.
Colombia is “Film Friendly” and the Colombian Caribbean is very safe. Daily flights from NYC, Fort Lauderdale and Miami make it an easy access shoot destination. A good deal of photo and film infrastructure already exists locally -and keeps growing-. Anything else can be found easily in Bogotá.

Take me to Cuba has seen Cuba go through many ups and downs since the company was founded 18 years ago. Many people ask if a lot will change now that Fidel is dead, or if a lot has changed since Cuba and the US fell in love again. The answer is: not at all. This is partly because of limited hotel capacity and the slow pace at which the Cuban Government adapts to change.
Take me to Cuba’s main specialty is fashion, but the company welcomes unusual productions such as for Havana Club in which Magnum co-founder, Elliott Erwitt, returned to Cuba to continue a project he started 50 years ago - when the Cuban Revolution and a very much alive Fidel Castro were in full swing!
Another production was carried out for car photographer Markus Bolsinger, who captured a story for Mercedes AMG on the Cuban boxing scene that featured three-times Olympic gold medalist Felix Savón. 7 Seas Productions offers high-quality production services across the Caribbean with a focus on Colombia and Cuba. Established in the late 90s, it has consistently focused on building the profiles of Colombia and Cuba - against all odds. Now, both countries have become strong, vibrant players in their own league and offer the best of two location worlds in the wider “Caribbean Republic”. Although they may appear to have much in common, such as the colonial cities and beaches, there are many important differences worth knowing.
7 Seas counsels its clients on these differences, according to the photographic needs of the brief, seasonal climates and special locations required. Cartagena for instance as the jewel of the Colombian Caribbean is as vanguard now as Acapulco, Mexico was in the 50s.

Film and photo equipment rental contributes to the excellent professional standing that Havana has built up over the last 20 years, of which Take me to Cuba has taken part for the last 14.

Take Me To Cuba is an advertising and fashion photo production service established in Havana in 1999. Cuba is a great island for photo shoots and Havana consistently offers new angles and backdrops, not only in the well-known old part of town but in many other neighbourhoods that have rarely seen visitors from abroad.
Very few cities offer a splendid Caribbean beach with palm trees not even 30 minutes away from the centre. Even though Take Me To Cuba's strongest asset is fashion productions, the company has produced emblematic shoots over the years for the likes of Mercedes-Benz and Audi.
The winds of change are palpable and Cuba is stepping up on the audiovisual scene; many young professionals are making themselves heard, from film-makers to photographers, computer and Internet specialists. Take Me To Cuba is the first production company in Cuba to offer ProFoto light solutions, thus enabling spontaneous travel and professional lighting standards for every production.

With 18 years in Cuba and 12 in the production world, Take me to Cuba tries to get beyond the typical image of Cuba with its old cars and old men playing guitar. Cuba is a young and vibrant country that is not too far away from stepping onto the international ladder.
There are a number of misconceptions that make clients discount Cuba and its great beaches, amazing cities, wonderful people, empty roads and no traffic jams. For instance: Americans are not welcome. Wrong!! Americans are very welcome and according to the Spanish newspaper El Pais, the US is the second largest issuer of tourist visas after Canada.
Take me to Cuba has completed many successful productions over the years, including a secret car campaign for Mercedes-Benz, Nivea, Olympus and Audi, but the company's strongest asset remains its fashion productions, be it advertising, editorial or catalogue.

Take me to Cuba was founded in 1999 as a photo production service company by a mixed Cuban-German team. The idea was to attract European and North American* clients to benefit from the Island's famous year-round sunshine and the beauty of cities like Havana, the 'Pearl of the Caribbean'.
Take me to Cuba provides a complete range of services for advertising agencies, catalogue clients, fashion and car photographers, and their producers are fluent in Spanish, English, French and German. In the first place, however, they speak “Cuban”, which means managing the official Cuba by providing work visas and temporary importation permits for collections and camera equipment.
Despite its strong fashion orientation, Take me to Cuba has completed productions for clients including Nivea, Olympus, DuPont, Audi and Mercedes-Benz. Recent productions were carried out for JP Boden, wrap, Grazia, Piazza Italia and C&A.

Budget Productions is a young venture started by a group of old producers. By maintaining the “body and soul” of years of experience across many countries, Connie Schmidt-Reimer and Christian Bengsch merged to create Budget Productions for France and Spain.
Budget tailors its services to magazines, catalogues and photographers working on a tight budget who need real, close-at-hand locations. The idea is to open sunny streets and beaches to the small briefcase, creating the equivalent of prêt-à-porter locations. Budget strips a fashion or editorial shoot down to its essential needs, with clients renouncing only the higher-end comforts of the production process.
The Budget concept benefits from a range of initiatives launched by Mediterranean towns and cities to promote audiovisual projects by waiving the usual location fees. In terms of service everything else remains the same, with Budget providing 12 years of experience in photo production, an unparalleled level of service for each and every project, and an extensive database of locations on the Costa del Sol and French Riviera.

7 Seas Productions shines a special spotlight on the South of France. What used to be the cradle for photo productions amongst European and US professionals in the 90s has fallen into oblivion over recent years, mainly due to the lack of modern locations and an overall belief of having seen it all before.
The good news today is that there are numerous modern locations and still many surprises to uncover. Europe’s sunniest and most versatile region is back on the production map. New buildings have been completed and the old refurbished, with many modern office spaces and private houses rebuilt in the meantime. Style is back, and the sun and the blue sea remain.
7 Seas has production offices in Cuba and Argentina and with its expert knowledge highly recommends rediscovering the South of France. Recent productions include SCHWAB, Peugeot, Rolf Benz, Boden, C&A, Petra and Beluga Shipping.

"Some things you always wanted to know about Argentina* but were afraid to ask:"
All major European airlines operate daily flights to Argentina and the time difference is only three hours, which makes jetlag insignificant. The Argentine Peso is the lowest valued currency in the region: Swiss bank UBS recently rated 71 world capitals for their price performance, with the cheapest three revealed as Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi and Buenos Aires. Argentina, this year celebrating the 25th anniversary of its return to democracy, looks and feels the most European among South American countries, and makes for one of the most logical off-season destinations for photo and film productions. The company's website shows more than 15,000 location pictures, plus references to recent campaigns and photographers.

Cartagena de Indias is in many ways comparable to Havana: a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the same ethnic mix of white Spanish immigrants, black slaves and Indian aborigines, a colonial old city and great beaches. In addition, the modern, vibrant city has a perfect Miami-like skyline, plus many unique and unspoiled locations. Put all this together with a rich Creole cuisine and the magic realism of a García Marquez novel and the perfect production site for fashion, editorial and advertising shoots unfolds.
Cartagena is Colombia's window to the world, meaning that security is a must. People are at ease, salsa rhythms are in the air, and the Caribbean breeze turns the city into one of the most enchanting places in South America.
There are daily flights from Miami which is only 2.5 hours away. Casting agencies are available on site, and all categories of hotels and cosy bed & breakfasts are available at South American prices. On top of that, it remains 30° Celsius all year around.

Cuba is much more than old cars, old Havana and old men... It is a young, striving island, with an interesting history and plans for a great future.
It is an ideal place to catch the Latin spirit and the colonial flair, with beautiful 40s and 50s Art Deco and classic colonial architecture sitting alongside modern facades in the capital city of Havana.
Extraordinary productions are feasible - with ad and press campaigns being recently photographed for Mercedes and AUDI, as well as various fashion shoots.
Cuban-based Take Me To Cuba explain what makes them different: "we know Cuba inside out, our production doors are open, our crews are great to work with, and we speak Spanish".
