In my 25 years as a professional photographer I have covered 'grip n grins' at the local supermarket opening, the comings and goings of Prime Ministers in Downing Street, protests against environmental destruction from Antarctica to the Amazon, wars, famines and general mayhem all in the pursuit of what I love doing - taking pictures and making them count.Nowadays I still concentrate on producing strong creative imagery for Industry, Commerce and Editorial.
Having made a late entry into the lottery of Photographic Awards I have been lucky to have been commended in the Environmental Photographer of the Year Competitions 2013 & 2014 as well as the EEF Industrial Photographer of the Year awards 2013. Also most recently a first place in the British Life Photography Awards.
So thats what I'm doing from my base in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, described rather oddly by BA Highlife magazine as 'the 4th funkiest place on the planet ' - try telling that to the locals on a wet afternoon in November... I take pictures wherever I am wanted in the UK, Europe and Worldwide.
Having discovered I wanted to be a photographer in my early 20's I have not attempted to be anything else. This is it .. this is what I love - taking pictures.
