Joakim Blockstrom works out of his studio in London or on location.
Recent work includes shooting with Toshio Tanahasi from Japan, who embraces the art of Shojin cuisine and philosophy, as well as photographing exciting new dishes for the launch of Ollie Dabbous' new restaurant Henrietta in London's Covent Garden.
He has also started to work with moving imagery.

Based in London, Joakim Blockstrom shoots food and still life from his studio or on location.
Collaboration is the driving factor behind his images, working together with the most talented chefs, food stylists, mixologists, creative directors or directly with clients to create images of the highest quality.
Recent collaborations include the best-selling 'Cocktail Cook Book' with mixologist Oskar Kinberg, Turkish Airlines and ANGLO Farringdon, named 'Best Newcomer' restaurant by The Observer Food Magazine.

Joakim Blockstrom has been fortunate to shoot with some of the world’s most inspiring chefs, as well as creating campaigns for global brands such as Turkish Airlines, Suchef, Courvoisier Cognac, and luxury hotel brands ME and GRACE.
Based in West London, Joakim is just as happy in his studio as on location shooting food, portraits, landscapes and design. He always works tirelessly to light and craft the images his clients require, collaborating closely with stylists and chefs to produce outstanding results.
He also curates and photographs for theheirloomproject.co.uk and is always on the lookout for contributors.

Joakim Blockstrom is based in London where he has been photographing food, still life, design and portraits for over 20 years. Undoubtedly Swedish in his approach, he works tirelessly to light and craft the images his clients require, collaborating closely with stylists and chefs to produce outstanding results.
Joakim shoots both in his studio in Acton and on location for clients such as Turkish Airlines, English Cheesecake Company, Grace Hotels, Suchef, FT and Port magazine among others.
He loves working in the restaurant environment and often takes a mobile studio with him to photograph in the kitchens of culinary masters such as Ollie Dabbous, Barrafina, ANGLO Farringdon and Marcus Wareing, to name a few.
He also produced the award-winning 'Dabbous the Cook Book', published by Bloomsbury, and this year shot 'A Cocktail Cook Book' by Oskar Kinberg, published by Frances-Lincoln.
He also tries to play drums and golf.
