German photographer Markus Heimbach is based in Hamburg and Dubai. He stays in Dubai most of the time. But this year Corona requires his presence only in Germany - which is new, but successful for Heimbach. 

Featured in this Showcase is his new work for Peugeot and VW shot recently in northern Germany under perfect Indian summer conditions.

His customers include major industry and automobile corporations, ship owning and general aviation companies, as well as magazines, agencies and media publishing houses. 

In 2020 he has been working for clients from Dubai such as Six Senses, Zighy Bay Oman, Dubai Properties, Freiburg Lab Dubai, The Children's Medical Center Dubai, and in Germany for companies like HOYER, Peugeot, VW amongst others.

"Dubai-based professional photographer with more than 10 years of experience, I began my career as a graphic designer. However, my passion for lights, shades and colours led to me morphing into a photographer.

Light is something that has always fascinated me. The same location seen at different times under different light conditions leaves the photographer in me amazed. Most of my photography inspirations are from cinema; cinematographer Roger Deakins is my all time favorite. Some day I hope to possess a portfolio - and a professional attitude - similar to that great man!

Over the last eight years in the UAE, I’ve contributed my photography skills to magazines such as BBC Good Food, CitizenK, WatchTime, InsideOut, Friday, Gulf News and Fatfeat, to name a few.

Mandy Toh is a food photographer and stylist based in Dubai, UAE.

She has a unique photography style of subtlety and boldness at the same time. She uses strong lines, shadows and strong colours in pop art food photography to create modern and vibrant food images.

Other than shooting for menus and websites, she also styles and shoots content for clients.

Her clients include Katsuya, Armani Hotel Dubai, Palace Downtown Dubai, Texas Roadhouse, TGIF, PF Chang’s and more. She works with international and regional clients and agencies.

When the pandemic was declared and we went from schools closing early for spring break to social distancing and finally to curfew/lockdown I turned my eye to what was around us.

I shot a series of chronological photographs of the wall that divides our house with our neighbors. The wall became synonymous with making new friends in our community over walls and across rooftops and making the best out of an unknown situation. Two metres apart and two metres up high. The series is titled The Wall Between Us”. The UAE is now very busy again with productions."

In 2020, Magnet acquired the events and corporate division of The Studio Dubai, expanding its offering to include event photography and filming. In addition to this, they have documented countless exhibitions, conferences and brand events.

Greg Adamski is a Polish fashion photographer based in Dubai.

His shoots are a perfect blend between Middle Eastern culture and a sharp European edginess. For him a desert is a blank canvas that allows art and fashion to combine in any direction. His style is clean, moody and overall, cinematic. Greg collaborates with another videographer in his projects, Klaudia Zdanowicz.

Catalin Marin is an architectural, interior and lifestyle photographer based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

He collaborates with clients from all over the world to photograph their projects and showcase them in the best light possible. He has provided creative imagery for clients like Marriott, Sheraton, Samsung, Ericsson, Kempinski, Virgin Australia, Emirates and his work was featured in various international magazines, books and websites including Mondo*ARC, ARC – Lighting in Architecture, Geo Magazine, BBC Travel, Lonely Planet Middle East and Time Out.
