Title: 'Eden Roc Diving Between Minerals'.

Location: "My studio in Düsseldorf, Germany. The entire underwater scene was a controlled studio setup using artificial strobe lighting to create the illusion of natural light and gentle waves.

The perfume flacon is unobtrusively positioned among various rock minerals, all in subtle colors and illuminated by backlighting and streaks of sunlight. Gentle waves ripple across the underwater scene, slightly distorting the details and creating a mystical, dreamlike and vibrant atmosphere.

The image is part of a fragrance series featuring Christian Dior’s oceanic Eden Roc scent, which includes eight main images inspired by the fragrance's key ingredients: sea salt and minerals. Each image in the series, along with its effects and lighting characteristics, was captured entirely in-camera. Either the images were taken in one shot, like the winning image, or I used techniques such as motion, long exposures, or multiple exposures.

Two things all the images in this fragrance series have in common: no filters and no post-production."

Claudia Kempf studied photo design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany, and completed her Master of Arts degree as a scholarship student at Goldsmiths College, London.

Claudia has primarily worked for German DAX companies such as Henkel, Volkswagen, Lanxess, Linde and SAP.

Her photographs are used in a variety of media, including annual reports, image campaigns, and marketing. Claudia has a particular affinity for shooting portraits of executive board members and company employees. She also pursues independent art projects and has received several awards for her work. She has been a member of the Art Directors Club since 2005.

Claudia Kempf’s clients can also be found in China. This year, she photographed Bucalu's owners, father Weifing Dong and son Victor Dong, along with the company's employees in Guangzhou.

Stephan Romer’s most recent campaign, the new Audi e-tron GT was shot on an eight-day road trip across the South Island of New Zealand. 15 hero shots took Stephan and his team to beautiful locations like Lake Tekapo in the Mackenzie Basin, and Riverton in the far South of New Zealand. Lighthouse Productions was in charge of the production and Pacific Post Productions worked on the post production.

Stephan’s 'Mt Cook Milky Way' won the Platinum Title in four categories in the 2024 Muse Awards, 2x Platinum with the 2023 EPA Awards and Gold with the New York PA.
