Interiors and Food Photographers
Francine Zaslow is an award-winning photographer based in Boston - where she has a stunning, light-drenched 4000 square foot studio, with a fully-equipped kitchen and prop room filled with unique surfaces and treasures. Her portfolio is always expanding with new clients stretching from food to product, interiors to lifestyle. In addition, her passion and commitment to her fine art work have her exploring both still and video projects where she is shooting, styling and directing.
This year, with all it's uncertainty, Francine has been able to move forward with photoshoots, as well as video, working remotely or in-person, no travel needed. Her years of experience and her creative eye, give her clients comfort knowing she will bring attention to detail and her carefully crafted lighting to every assignment.
Current work includes an extensive project working with long-time clients and creators of The Maker Hotel, a richly appointed boutique Inn in Hudson, NY. The idea is to showcase the world of all “makers:” artisans, artists, and craftspeople. Zaslow herself, coming from a family of artists and "makers,” felt very connected to this assignment. Capturing the carefully curated artwork and unique furnishings - all shot with a moody, romantic feel - helped to create a signature look for the hotel. Photos from this project were published in the New York Times, Departures Magazine, and Forbes.com, among others.

"The Can-Am Crown International Sled Dog Race, has become something of a tradition in Northern Maine over the last 30 years. The 250-mile race is a qualifier for the Iditarod and the Yukon Quest, some of North America's most famous races.
For this project I followed a couple of mushers through their preparation for the race all the way to the finish line. This was a project I had pitched to Maine Magazine, and was so delighted that they too were interested in this story. There is something that is very freeing as a photographer to be able to spend so much time with your subjects. Most important for me was to show the bond between the mushers and dogs, it wasn't the same bond you see between pets and their owners, but more of a bond that forms only with shared hardship and experiences."
