Daniel Kellenberger
Portrait & Architecture Photographers
Daniel Kellenberger was born in Hong Kong to parents from Appenzell, raised between two very different worlds. He studied film at Edinburgh College of Art, arrived intending to direct, and discovered fairly quickly that the camera was the more interesting end of the arrangement.
Back in Switzerland, he worked as a cameraman and editor before photography took over. He liked that a single image let him run the whole show — author, director, lighting designer, one-man band.
Freelance since 2006, he spent years shooting for major Swiss newspapers and magazines. After 12 years co-running a studio, he returned to solo work in 2022. He's now based in Stäfa on Lake Zurich, available for assignments across Switzerland and beyond, and focused on cinematic portraits of actors, artists, and athletes.
His work recently earned him a spot in Lürzer's Archive's 200 Best Photographers worldwide.
