After picking up a camera some 20 years ago, Thomas van Schaik started experimenting with still life and landscape photography.
Before starting his own studio, he worked for a number of years as an assistant to various photographers, learning the tricks of the trade - knowledge that has helped him with all the different clients and jobs he has done over the last 10 years.
Thomas is passionate about working in his own studio across a wide range of subjects, from bicycles to jewellery, shoes, cosmetics, food, fashion and design furniture - he recently shot a new campaign for Loof.
Although his main focus is still life and product photography in the studio, Thomas doesn’t mind going outside from time to time to shoot something on location.
