Welcome to the very first edition of Showcase Buenos Aires to coincide with the launch of our new Buenos Aires directory.

Argentina's capital has an incredibly vibrant mix of cultures, music and styles which, along with the extensive infrastructure of visual media companies, make this a superb place for cinema, photography and advertising productions.

Two festivals taking place in and around the city over the next month:

• Southfest Buenos Aires, at Costanera Sur on Saturday 5 May, is the fourth edition of the Latin-American music festival featuring bands, international DJs and happenings.
• Encuentro Buenos Aires jazz y otras músicas, from 11 - 21 May, is a free festival of local jazz music.
