Based in Bucharest, Romania, Carioca was founded in 2005 by three artists - Drgos Coman, Andrei Stoleru and Dagos Traistaru, all photographers with fine art and advertising backgrounds along with production expertise. Supported by a team of full time employees, Carioca started with a big idea: to bring their complete vision and perfect execution from production and shooting to post-production.

The studio has extensive international experience having worked for international clients in Europe and beyond. The team's work has been featured in various magazines and has been distinguished in advertising festivals and exhibitions.

Their work is minimalistic yet distinct, with an aura of surprise and playfulness, each creation remarkably astonishing in variety and depth.
