Holding a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering by education, Matevz finds himself steering far away from "nuts and bolts" into advertising, lifestyle and food photography. With 15 years' experience in the photographic industry, many successful campaigns and international experience are proof the big shift was a good decision.

As a photographer, Matevz uses clean aesthetics, dynamic and realistic lighting combined with genuine emotion. Being a foodie means he loves shooting food and creating messy and realistic compositions. "A perfect non perfection is key in food work."

In his personal work, he likes the use of complex lighting - both hard and spot lights. Matevz is a big fan of Kubrick for aesthetics, Hitchcock for story-telling, and Woody Allen for humour.
