Los Angeles based automotive photographer Richard Thompson III draws on a life-long love of cars to create high energy, atmospheric imagery for his clients. Trained at the Savannah College of Art and Design, his background combines film, photography, and a genuine passion for all things automotive. Raised in a family of car lovers his early experience in the racing world enables Richard to shape photographs bearing the essence and character of each car.

Richard has spent much of 2014 on location creating imagery for global car firms such as Bentley Motors, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz as well as bespoke sportscar manufacturer Pagani Automobili. His personal work is currently focused on legendary endurance racecars of the 1960s, most recently the Ferrari 250 LM and Ford GT40 Mk IV.
