Linn Flammier Oslo photographers

Linn Flammier is a freelance fashion photographer and film-maker based in Oslo. For the last 14 years she has lived and worked in the UK, Spain and Germany, and has mainly worked commercially within fashion and advertising.

Born in Oslo in 1980, by a French mother and Norwegian father, Linn developed her passion for photography as an adolescent. After studying History of the Arts and Philosophy in Oslo, she graduated with a degree in photography and film in the UK. While working on her degree, she assisted different photographers and worked in production for both stills and film.

Her first individual projects were self-portraits and short black and white films inspired by nature, all very much fitting the genre of conceptual art. In her recent work, Linn has developed a very personal cinematographic style, inspired by 1940s film noir and reminiscent of a certain voyeurism à la Hitchcock.

Her work evokes strong moods and atmosphere that can seem a reaction to the sometimes shallow world of fashion and advertising photography. Linn's inspiration is very broad and refers to different artists and types of art, from stills to the moving image.
