It’s not possible, they said!
Barry was approached by Bulletproof as they wanted Milka to be seen like never before larger than life, immersing the viewer into the wonderful ingredients of each variation activating a sensory experience leaving the viewer in no doubt ‘ I want it now ‘ Each chocolate had something unique we wanted to show these imperfections that would add to the character of each flavour.
As well as dedicated stills campaign we also filmed the chocolate. The brief was to create a ‘ Reveal ‘ taking the viewer on a journey heroing a piece of chocolate while slowly pulling back the famous lilac wrapper. We perfected the move using Motion control and practical effect for the wrapper.
Virtual Production is gaining momentum and Barry has collaborated with G6virtualproduction to showcase this latest LED wall and motion control solution.
Being able to bring any location to the studio will prove invaluable for many productions.

Some moments are so vividly etched into your memory that you never forget them. For Manny Rodriguez it was the moment he realized he wanted to be a photographer. Born in Havana Cuba, and raised in Miami, he didn't pick up the camera until the age of 18 when he bought a Canon for no other reason other than boredom. a Canon FTB-n, which he purchased mail-order for 359.00, and that included a 50mm 1.4 lens, leather case, lens cleaning supplies, and three rolls of Kodachrome film with processing included!
He became absolutely fascinated with the ability to capture a moment in time, or capture a subject, and keep it, take it with him. Then, the pivotal moment arrived; “I remember right around my 19th birthday, on a Sunday morning at exactly 9:05, standing on the south east side of the Miami River Bridge, me pointing the camera at the buildings downtown, saying to myself out loud, I have to make this a career.’ It was that simple,” he says.
He was hired by a studio several months later and worked his way up to Junior photographer over the next couple of years before going full-time freelance.
In 1994, Manny relocated to Dallas, where he began specializing in shooting still life, food, and interiors.
Maxine Lock presents a bold and intriguing series of images that take a deep dive into the curious intersection of nature and branding - because why not let fruit and packaging mingle?
In some of these images, glass bottles are meticulously sliced open, as if they were hiding a juicy secret all along, revealing the fruit at their very core. It’s a subtle nudge to remind us that there’s a bit of nature lurking behind every glossy label. In others, Maxine masterfully captures fruits that have been carefully sliced with their product labels attached, blurring the lines between product and produce in a visually captivating way.
This fusion of product and produce is presented in a way that is not only visually captivating but also conceptually intriguing, offering a fresh perspective on the relationship between the two. The series of images are characterised by its use of clean, minimalist compositions, mixing realism and abstract art into a balanced and eye-catching display.
