Thomas Kruesselmann shoots beauty, hair, fashion and lifestyle photography for international clients and agencies including BBDO, Euro RSCG, Grey Worldwide and Ogilvy & Mather. He has also photographed celebrities such as Claudia Schiffer.

His signature-style can be described as minimalist with very high attention to detail, but his work never lacks the human touch which, in his opinion, "is essential to every image that depicts people." Thomas directs his in-house retouching artist in the same way: "I am a photographer - don't make it look like a painting, please!" State-of-the-art digital technology by Phase One guarantees a smooth workflow and art director-friendly productions.

Featured in this Spotlight are recent productions 'A light in the dark', an exclusive series of premium beauty imagery for Corbis; 'Industrial pin-up', a calendar production for ad agency Schuster Thomsen Röhle Communication; and 'Tomorrow's girl', a cover-story for German magazine Loop.

Current work in progress includes: an exhibition concept for Grey Worldwide; 'Identifikation', a new project in collaboration with artist Viktor Nono; portrait commissions for a high-end German interior design-firm; and an advertising production for a casino.
