INTERIOR, ARCHITECTURE AND AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY Nov 2018

London: Patrick Clarke

"An appreciation of architecture is in my blood, having been raised for the first four years of my life in a 16th Century manor house, renovated by my father.

In 1989, I borrowed an SLR and on my first visit to Florida I photographed downtown Tampa at night; it really was a case of bright lights, big city. In 1990, I visited Hong Kong and bought my first SLR, also landing upon New York City for the first time; I photographed the skyscrapers of Manhattan extensively. Standing before tall structures, I marvel at the feat of engineering and the power of design and building technology.

As a mature student, I studied interior design in London. I feel strongly aware of the influence an interior has on one's life, particularly in a residential scenario.

Photography and design have entwined to shape my work life as an architectural and interiors photographer."
