After picking up a camera some 20 years ago, Thomas van Schaik started experimenting with still life and landscape photography. Before establishing his own studio, he worked for many years as an assistant to various photographers in order to learn the tricks of the trade - knowledge that has led to success with clients for the past 10 years.
Thomas is passionate about working in his own studio, on very different kinds of subjects, from bicycles and jewellery to shoes, cosmetics, food, fashion and designer furniture - like his recent work for Loof.
Although his main focus is studio-based still life and product photography, from time to time he doesn’t object to going outside to shoot on location.
