After picking up a camera some 20 years ago, Thomas van Schaik started experimenting with still life and landscape photography. Before starting his own studio, he worked for years as an assistant to various photographers to learn the tricks of the trade. This knowledge has helped him with all the different clients and jobs he has done over the last 10 years.
Thomas has become very passionate about working in his own studio, on very different kinds of subjects. Ranging from bicycles to jewellery, shoes to cosmetics, sometimes food and even fashion. He recently shot design furniture for the latest campaign from Loof.
Although his main focus is still life and product photography in the studio, he doesn’t mind going outside from time to time to shoot something on location.
