David Lawrence was born to be a photographer - both his father and great uncle were photographers. After studying at Parsons and the School of Visual Arts in New York City, he pursued a brief career as a graphic designer but soon gravitated towards still life photography thanks to a natural knack for finding that perfect angle to show things in their best light. He is also a born problem solver who relishes a challenge, whether artistic, technical or logistical - especially when it leads to a beautiful picture.

David has shot for many of the most popular national consumer magazines and numerous brandname advertisers for fashion, beauty, jewellery, liquor, electronics, tech and financial services. His most recent clients have included Harper's Bazaar, Esquire, Instyle, Essence, People, Forbes, L'Oréal, John Frieda, Ann Taylor, Nike and Starter Athletic.
