During this summer Insitu Locations & Services has been involved in great projects:

Vodafone summer campaign: Unusual pictures done by the photographer Frederike Helwig. Really big casting for funny situations made in Barcelona.

Opel Corsa Catalogue: Michael Klein was the photographer for this catalogue, looking for the best roads and landscapes at the Mediterranean coast.

Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie advertising campaign: the photographers Marc Trautmann & Daniel Woeller shot sophisticated interior and exterior locations.

Dolce Vita Productions is a full-service production company, which specialises in commercial photo shoots throughout Spain. While Dolce Vita is still growing as a company, the owner Marina von Arnim and her two assistants have over 15 years combined experience in the field.

Starting a new job, the teams we receive become somehow
family to us for the time we work together.

This past month of August we've been able to make friends and family and
powered force into the next Mini Cooper showroom video by TVT and Dan
Pearlman in Barcelona.

We also produced three catalogues for children and baby wear for the Belgian clients Farfelu and Babeurre on the island of Mallorca.

Voodoo Productions is definitely a pioneer company in and from Barcelona, specialized in international production services. We do mainly commercials, but also stills, music videos and featured films.

Prodimag offers all kind of services for commercial and video productions, postproduction, multimedia, and a pro-tools studio.

One of their latest productions has been filmed with Tricicle for Healthworld Barcelona and Pfizer laboratories.

Voo Empresarial has produced one spot for the Group Condis. This advertising spot has been emitting in Antenna 3 Television for three months as the sponsorship for a culinary program called: "La cuina amb truc".

By the way, at this moment Voo has other own projects, such as a short film in full animation, still in phase of pre-production. The animation technique used is called cutout. The title of this short film is: "Who goes first?" and the main protagonists will be Cepi, a toothbrush, Goti, glass of water, and tube of toothpaste, Pasti.

A good few of the shootings that take place in our city come from abroad -this year, 50 out of a total of 178. Germany, England, Japan, Russia and the EEUU are some of the most frequent users of Barcelona Plató Film Commission. Festivals and markets are an excellent occasion to know what Barcelona has to offer, since the city's Film Commission is present in most of them.

The appointment next September is in Sant Sebastian, the most international venue in Spain. Barcelona Plató will have its own stand at the festival's Sales Office ready to inform and deal with all the visitors. Cannes is the next stop in October for the biggest market, the MIPCOM, where once again Barcelona Plató Film Commission will be based at the Catalan Films and TV stand. Finally, we'll close the year attending fantastic Sitges 2003 in December.

AEC (Spanish Association of Cinematographers) has cooperated in writing the milestone book Making Pictures: A Century of European Cinematography, created by Imago (European Federation of Cinematographers, which comprises 1,500 active Directors of Photography from 23 different countries).

Illustrated with 780 images in both colour and black and white, most of them enlargements of actual film frames, it presents incisive analyses of hundreds of visually outstanding films along with a complete technical and creative history of the Cinematographer's unique craft.

The agreement foresees the creation, the coming year, of this foundation, which will devote to promote, spread and give International presence to the Catalan audio-visual industry in the foreign markets.

The initiative will count with the minimum contribution of 1.270.000 Euros every year.

The main part of this amount will be contributed by the Catalan Institute of Catalan Industries (ICIC), although there will also be contributions from the rest of the partners: The BA associations (Barcelona Audio-visual), the PAC (Audio-visual Producers of Catalunya), TVC (Televisió de Catalunya) and the consortium of commercial promotion of Catalunya (COPCA). The agreement also specifies that COPCA will put at the foundation disposal their chain of 37 centres for the promotion of foreign business.

After working in Lisbon, Robert is shooting on Ibiza and Formentera, two-month straight for a catalogue client.

The last photo-session in Barcelona was a bikini-shoot with Marta from Traffic - the tribal look was perfectly reflected in her sexy features.
The Styling was done by Nuria Sanchez and Susanna was responsible for Hair & Make Up.

After over 20 years of research, Enric Aromí has developed a unique technique that results in a perfect blend of painting and photograph. It means, that the colourings, which make up a photograph, can easily be mixed with any of the traditional painting techniques: watercolour, oil painting, acrylics, charcoal, etc. What is more, this technique allows oils and watercolours or acrylics to be used perfectly well together in one work of art.

In the last three years, Enric Aromí has made more than 150 paintings of sizes ranging from 18 x 24 cm. to over 3 x 3 m. and has exhibited his work in Japan, Chicago, Seattle, Miami and New York.

Prior to his European debut in Paris next spring, 1300 people attended a two-week exhibition of 50 of his works in Catalonia in summer 2003.

The German Photographer Wolfgang Wilde took pictures of Mr. Reiner Calmund for several Sports Magazines.

Pronovias team was at Studio Alava 22 shooting the new main catalogue by Alfonso Ohnur.

Photographer J.M. Ferrater shot the latest Massimo Dutti campaign starring 12-year-old Alex Casanovas for the new Kids collection. He is now being requested for the new Abercrombie and Fitch catalogue to be shot by Bruce Weber.

Future Tops with the SS&M stamp:

Last July, the top Spanish model agencies worked eagerly to present their
most promising girls in what seemed to be one of the most prestigious
national competitions for both models and agencies: Operación Top Model, organised by Moda Barcelona.

The first edition became a loyal display of what SS&M is made up of: a new quarry of models that will give people something to talk about.

Out of 25 contestants, three stood out. The three finalists, the winner Valeria Petkova, Burke and Teresa B Astolfi, are all represented by SS&M.
