Make Up Artist [New York]: Deanna Melluso

A native of New York, Deanna Melluso's unique approach to make-up is highly influenced by the NY club scene of the early 90s. She attributes her understanding of street culture and fashion to the likes of Boy George and the cinematic influences of Victor Victoria and Singing in the Rain.

Deanna has worked with Lady Gaga, Cynthia Nixon and Hayden Panettiere, in addition to completing advertising campaigns for Philip Crangi, Tracy Reese and Prescriptives. For spring 2010 Deanna has been lead make-up artist for Alexander Beradi and Cassete Playa. She has assisted on fashion shows with Francois Nars, Diane Kendal and Tom Pecheux and her work can be seen in the pages of Dazed and Confused, Own, I.D. and 125 Magazine.

Fashion Stylist [Barcelona]: Dixi Romano

Dixi Romano was born near Detroit, Michigan, but has lived most of her life in Italy. She began her styling career at London-based magazine Dazed and Confused, moving to work in Italy with Valentina Ilardi at Drome and B> Magazine.

She has worked with photographers including Jose Aragon, Richard Jensen, Quentin De Briey, Ansgar, David Ruiz, Esperanza Moya, Edo Alto, Wai Lin Tse, Luciano Insua, Sara Coe, Fernanda Porto, Daniel Sevilla, Giorgia Valli and Sergi Fuster, among others.

Her work can be seen in Muse, Indie, Material Girl, Ozon, D Mag, Kinki, Inspire, H Mag, Pig, Lamilk, B> Magazine, Codigo, Dress Lab, Next, Inside, Mex and Still.

Dixi is currently based in Barcelona were she is represented by Motif Management. She frequently works in London and Milan.

Hair + Make Up Artist [Miami]: Gunnar Schendera

Born in Germany, Gunnar Schendera is an international hair and make-up artist. After finishing business school he travelled to Italy to study his craft in preparation for what has become a very successful career.

Since 1994, Gunnar has been working as a hair and make-up artist for some of the best-known brands and celebrities in the world and has collaborated with countless photographers to create beautiful editorial images. Today he makes his home in both the United States and Europe, working between LA, New York, Miami and Berlin.

Gunnar's work also includes art direction for international fashion magazines. His campaigns include commercials for Anna Sui, Montblanc, and other well-known names.

Hair + Make Up Artist [Barcelona]: Iván Gómez

Ivan Gomez is a young make-up artist and hairstylist with a flair for theatrics. From the very beginning he had a keen eye for finding art and beauty in the world, and it is this sense of self that made his choice of starting a career path at such an early age an easy one. At 16 he followed his instincts and began hairdresser, and after several years of training he moved to London where he majored in Fashion and Beauty Make-up.

In 2005, Ivan returned to Spain and settled in Barcelona to begin his career working as a stylist in some of the city’s most prestigious hair salons. His work has earned him a certain level of notoriety in creative circles and has helped him to secure an impressive list of clients, including Escada, Laurel, Louis Vuitton and Escada Sport.

In 2007, he began working with Chanel as part of their team of leading make-up artists in Spain. Ivan works with top photographers, designers and stylists from across the country yet continues his passion for collaborative side projects that feed and enrich his creative spirit.

Make Up Artist [London]: Janine Bird

Highly creative and a perfectionist in form and detail, Janine Bird prides herself on the flawless quality of the make-up she produces. Her passion is for strong, beautiful images, attention to detail and the collaborative process.

Based out of London, Janine also works extensively in Asia, the US and Australia.

This last month has been exceptionally varied, working on a Hip-Hop music video, the British Hairdressing Awards Final submissions, and Ad campaigns for classic menswear.

Also a session stylist, she “does” hair as well, although her first love and specialisation is artistry.

Loriane Leger is a passionate make-up artist who has specialised in fashion, catwalk and editorial since 2007.

Her work has already been published across magazines such as L'Officiel, The Amuser, Cosmopolitan, Sleek, Dirrty Glam and MUP. She has also worked on advertising campaings for a range of brands, including Les 3 Suisses, Castelbajac, D Style LAB and Zovirax.

Fashion Stylist [Paris]: Melanie Perego

Melanie Perego, photo stylist and designer, is passionate about fashion. She studied visual arts and fashion design at SMGV in Switzerland before moving to Paris, where she began working freelance for a variety of magazines including Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Palace Costes, Madame Figaro Russia, Una Magazine China and Yen Magazine Australia.

Melanie's style is to emphasise her models or objects in a way that focuses on their inherent beauty so that there is complete harmony with the surroundings. Her open mindedness is a source of constant questioning and self-criticism that allows her to evolve in her work.

Splitting her time between France, Switzerland and London, Melanie loves travelling to work on campaigns, catalogues and advertising shoots. Notable celebrities seek her design talents, particularly for tour outfits, gala events, festivals and TV promotions.

Make Up Artist [Istanbul]: Meryem Yilmaz

Meryem Yilmaz studied tourism and hotel management before going on to complete a styling course at the same time as working as a tattoo artist. Through her natural creativity and love of fashion, she eventually found herself in the make-up world.

Meryem won second prize at the 2009 Turkish Beauty Form Make-up Championships, and in the same year also gained national training certificates for professional make-up. She currently works as a freelance make-up artist for photography, TV and special events clients with a varied portfolio including classical, creative, special effects make-up and body painting. Her work has appeared in magazines, album covers, fashion shoots and celebrity portraiture.

Fashion Stylist [New York]: Newheart Ohanian

Newheart Ohanian is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and began her fashion career as a designer. Having also studied apparel design and textiles in Florence and Milan, and after several years working in the industry, she embarked on a career as a freelance fashion stylist.

There are stylists who excel at their work, but there are very few like Newheart whose talent breathes innovation, and this only comes from a deep passion for fashion.
