Bodo Mertoglu Munich

German photographer Bodo Mertoglu has focused on interior photography for over 25 years, since beginning his professional career as an apprentice with renowned interior studio Vogelsänger in Bielefeld and Munich.

Since 1988, Bodo has been working as a freelance photographer. He specialises in architecture and interiors and has a passion for vivid straightness, clear lines and forms. As a master of light, Bodo's work guarantees natural light, regardless of how and where he shoots - both in the studio and on location.

Bodo creates imagery for a diverse range of well-known interior brands such as Bulthaup and Gaggenau, and in recent years abroad, particularly Asia.

Danica O. Kus Brussels

Danica O. Kus is a fine art and architectural photographer interested in investigating the unique identity of space in order to reveal its character. Working as an architectural photographer for several years, she has developed the ability to present not only buildings as an architectural object but also the atmosphere of inner and outer space.

In 2008, Danica was honoured with first prize in the Vitra Belgium photo competition for 'How to see George Nelson'. Her work has been published in books and magazines including Cahiers D’Art, The Architectural Review, DAMn Magazine, A+Magazine, Arquitecura Y Diseno, Elle Wonen, Gael Maison, Modern Luxury Dallas and Log NY.

Edgardo has experience in photography for 20 years and focuses on capturing lifestyle, architecture, resorts and interiors working with top brands. His latest project includes renovating the image bank of the Barceló Maya complex.

Kuhnle + Knödler Lake Constance

At Lake Constance, BFF members Peter Kuhnle and Hanse Knödler operate a 450 m² south-facing, daylight studio complex and specialise in the fields of interior and industrial.

The team includes seven full-time employees who provide a professional and well-established workflow, even on location.

A wide network of architects and set builders also allows large-scale productions, even parallel amongst several teams. Both photographers have years of experience on large shoots for leading furniture, bathroom and kitchen manufacturers. Many clients and agencies have already used their great studio to maximum advantage: to be independent of wind, weather and location scouting!

Clients include Hansgrohe, Mercedes-Benz, Duravit, Rolls-Royce, Siemens, WMF and Bilek Jäger, Leonard & Kern, Lässing Müller and many more.

McNeill Photography Toronto

Jeff McNeill currently specialises in photographing residential and commercial properties for landscape architects and design build companies. His clients rely on him for his professionalism to deliver stunning images that engage people.

He has been in the phototgraphy business since 1992, where he had worked with a variety of established car photographers. In 1996, he focused mainly on automotive photography for clients like Nissan, Ford and Mazda. In 2002, he had the opportunity to work with Dutch landscape photographer Olaf Veltman. They have continued to work on many high profile projects.

In 2007, Jeff moved to Toronto to start a new chapter in his life and is now married with two boys.

Paul Burk Washington

Paul Burk's photographs of architecture, interiors and the built environment combine a rigorous dedication to craft with a vivid graphic sensibility. The results are images of uncommon clarity, power and presence.

A former Fulbright Scholar, Paul's approach to image making draws heavily on his background in fine arts. His work documenting the post-industrial landscape, both in the U.S. and abroad, helped him develop a visual style that is particularly suited to the complex demands of photographing architecture.

Paul approaches each assignment with deliberation, curiosity, and professionalism. He believes in a collaborative process and works closely with each client to craft images that fit their needs and reflect their vision. It is an approach that has produced numerous award-winning images, many long-lasting client relationships, and an extensive list of publications including Interior Design, The Washington Post, Residential Architect, Trends (New Zealand), Monitor (Russia), and FRAME (Netherlands), among many others.

Smyre Inc. Atlanta

Perry Smyre specialises in architectural and interior photography for
residential and commercial clients. His distinct visual style embodies formal training, along with contemporary light painting techniques. He builds images with presence and clarity, preserving the beauty of architectural design.

Perry holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California and continues his education as a participating member of the ASMP.

Tom Roch Munich

Tom Roch is an experienced Munich-based photographer specialised in still life, people and interiors. He loves to combine these genres while working for German magazines such as Elle DECO, Deco Home, COUNTRY and Häuser.

Tom is also known for his clean and focused approach when documenting architectural projects both indoors and out, as his feature in this Spotlight demonstrates. His current projects include an at-home story for Villeroy & Boch, a 'wild' story for Deco Home and his free artistic work 'Lightspeeding', in which Tom tries to transform the essentials of "vista point photography"  to upmost abstraction.
