Purpose of the Role:

A varied role which requires a mix of creative talent, technical ability and passion in order to create compelling content that will develop the brand’s imprint across a range of digital platforms, including social media, mobile app and website properties, for one of the world’s leading sports brands.

This role sits within the digital arm of McLaren Marketing’s Communications and PR department. The digital producer will contribute to the creation of digital content across the McLaren Technology Group companies, including the McLaren-Honda Formula 1 team. Some flexibility with working hours may be required to accommodate involvement with race coverage and/or campaign launches.

Principal Accountabilities:

Working closely with the Digital Content Production Manager to deliver best-in-class content initiatives against a forward-looking content calendar.

Responsible for creating a wide range of content that will sit across the brand channels including: infographics, short-form animation and video editing, social media skins, wireframing and email campaigns.
Contribute to McLaren’s commercial offering by contributing to the creation of innovation content initiatives
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential

Excellent with use of Adobe Creative Suite CC (After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator)
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, with a portfolio of digital work across web and/or social media that demonstrates the level of skill and flair for design
Experience of digital design across a range of digital channels and responsive design projects
Understanding rights issues pertaining to digital content and distribution
Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant discipline


Desirable

Previous exposure working within a communications or PR environment
Experience working in a real-time, reactive content production environment
Previous experience working for a premium or luxury brand
Knowledge of motion graphics and 3D design

Have the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects, staying on-brief, on-brand and delivering to deadlines
Excellent communication skills, confident in contributing ideas and working in a collaborative fashion
Demonstrable decision making ability, knowing when to escalate issues
Willing to go all-out to produce creative, innovative and original content
In tune with with current design trends and philosophies, honing conceptualisation skills and producing pixel perfect designs whilst maintaining the high visual fidelity of the brand
Impeccable proof-reading ability
