Post Production System Administrator

Keystone Entertainment seeks a dynamic, growth-oriented individual to manage its full range of Post-Production and IT systems. This person is both a post production and an IT generalist, supporting picture and sound editorial and finishing systems, plus managing servers and the network for all users. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a calm demeanor, and an ability to communicate effectively. In addition, this person must be able to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities and excel at working independently.


Picture Post Production workflow and systems and management, installation, and upgrades including:

• Avid Media Composer / Avid Unity / Avid DS
• Blackmagic Davinci Resolve
• Editorial and online workflows, including tape-and file-based dailies
• Digital video signal types and frame rates, routing, cabling, and conversion
• Color pipeline management to specified color standards, including calibration of projection and LCD displays
• VTR operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Video synchronization and time code applied to equipment and workflows

Sound Post Production workflow and systems and management, installation, and upgrades including:

• Avid ProTools and plugins
• ADR, Voiceover, and Foley recording
• Mix Theater, including speaker systems calibration
• AES digital audio signal routing
• Analog audio signals and routing patch bays

IT support, management, and upgrades of the company’s enterprise-class server and desktop hardware and software in a mixed Windows / OS X Environment, including:

• Windows Server 2003 Active Directory
• Microsoft Exchange
• Microsoft SQL Studio
• Symantec Backup Exec
• OS X Server

Network management and configuration including SonicOS firewall, VPN, and internet connectivity
Data Security protocols and management.
Digital Asset Management for file access, backup and archive

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience with video and audio post production systems and techniques
• experience supporting systems in a shared storage video, film, or TV post-production facility
• Hands-on experience in video file format and codec exchange and trans-coding
• experience supporting Windows Active Directory, Server, Exchange, and MSSQL with MCSE certifications
• Strong troubleshooting skills with software and hardware
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with a non-technical audience


• Experience managing Avid Unity shared storage
• Experience configuring networks and firewall policies
• Understanding of on set production, especially camera and sound departments
• Familiarity with color science and display calibration
