Jens Görlich
Frankfurt
Jens Görlich is based out of Frankfurt and works worldwide in the areas of transportation, landscape and people photography for agencies, magazines and direct clients. The photo series presented in this Spotlight was shot in California for Lufthansa AG.
It was a logistic challenge to photograph the backgrounds and surroundings in such a way that the brand new Boeing could be subsequently added to the compositions in a convincing way using CGI-technology. Through advance test-renderings, artificially generated 3D desert landscapes and, not least, through Jens’ extensive experience with aircraft and CGI-applications, the client’s approved layout was precisely executed.
During the course of the last year, Jens was also on location at Boeing in Seattle to document the development of the new Jumbo. The photos are featured in the current Lufthansa Magazine Special Edition 747-8 'Experience the Legend', as well as on Jens’ newly re-designed homepage.

Frankfurt: Rainer W. Schlegelmilch
Rainer W. Schlegelmilch began his career as a Formula 1 photographer at the Nürburgring in 1962, presenting his driver portraits for his final exam at the 'Bayerische Staatslehranstalt für Photographie'. 18 months later, he opened his photo design studio in Frankfurt. Rainer's passion for car photography led him to more than 500 Grand Prix events and steered him in the direction of commercial work for prestigious publications including Auto Revue, Auto Motor und Sport, Powerslide, ADAC, Sports Car Graphic, Car & Driver, Road & Track and Car Review and various others.
Shooting originally in black and white, from 1970 Rainer devoted himself to colour photography and his images began regularly appearing in calendars and books. International companies including Philip Morris, Mobil, Shell, Champion, Mercedes and BMW also used his work.

Frankfurt: Alex Schwander Photography
Alex Schwander manages to tell short stories within his productions. Employing a pure and simple minimalist style he concentrates on the essential: the centrally-focused figure or object. He applies this principle to fashion, advertising and editorial photography whether taken in the studio or on location worldwide.
The Swiss photographer has established his work-life environment in Frankfurt am Main. Advertising, fashion and magazines form his everyday work but musicians, actors and artists are fond of being portrayed by his unique visual signature. Experimenting with classical portrait photography and modern techniques, Alex produces iridescent-realistic images that have been exhibited to great acclaim on numerous occasions.
His commercial clients include AXA, BMW, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Post, Evonik, Mitsubishi, Nestle and Siemens, as well as several fashion brands and publishers. His recent editorial work appeared in Elle, Sportswear International, The Fashion Business and Fit For Fun.
