The Foundry
The 19th century foundry has been recently restored to its original architectural and industrial character to be rented for film/photos shoots as well as for special events and parties.
The location has exposed brick walls and archways, a 2,000 square foot main floor, 1,200 square foot wrap-around mezzanine and 40-foot skylight ceiling. There is a full caterer's kitchen.
Recent events and shoots include
Kanye West's album release party, sponsored by Hennessy and
Moet, and a Sex and the
City / HBO restaurant
set.
The Foundry's adjoining
location, Du Val Enterprises, has a 3,500 square foot
landscaped roof terrace with sweeping views of the 59th Street
Bridge and the Manhattan skyline plus a 4,000 square foot furnished
loft. Clients have included Sopranos, Food Network and
American Express.
