Sergio Kurhajec was born in NYC and raised in Rome by two acclaimed artists. In his youth he leaned towards photography, pursuing his studies at the Accademia Delle Belle Arti in Rome and assisting directors of photography at Cinecitta. He later found his passion for fashion photography while studying at the International Center of Photography and assisting some of NYC’s top fashion photographers.
Sergio’s aesthetic melds fine art with fashion and documentary photography. His interest in classic and modernist sculpture deeply influences his approach towards human form. His first editorial assignment was for Harper’s Bazaar UK, followed by Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Surface, GQ, Soma, Tatler, Eileen Fisher, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Mitchells, and Robert Graham, among others.
When not on set, Sergio works on several fine art projects and delights in watching his children grow and create their own art.
