He has a fully equipped South London studio with two shooting areas for still life/portrait and drive-in for larger sets. He also has a lot of experience of worldwide locations.

When asked what he likes, Chris says, "quirky people shots, proper beer and being a Londoner..."

Chris Martin people & lifestyle photographers

Chris Martin (Real World Photography) continues to explore the many positive aspects of the developing world by providing European and American clients with 'intuitive, people and ethical business related images' from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

Recent work has included photography on the theme of 'human energy', part of a global communications strategy for Chevron Texaco shot in the desert of Kuwait, a WPP Enterprise IG commission for AEGON in the UK and a brand-identity ethical business campaign for GlaxoSmithKline in Mexico.

The Real World Photography team provides resources for photo logistics and shoot management, state-of-the-art digital facilities, and post production services. The team frequently works in countries such as Nigeria, Angola, Colombia and Mexico.

Currently, Chris Martin is working in Mozambique on a project that involves street-casting as well as local models. Ongoing personal projects include a reportage folio looking at surfing as a positive influence on life in the favelas of Brazil.

Now based in the North of England, his passion, enthusiasm and eye have taken him to many diverse locations. His skill and ability in bringing people to life in his work ensure that the images are captivating and inspiring. The reality portrayed by his work is influenced by his passion for pure imagery, be it still or moving.

Jonathan Oakes people & lifestyle photographers

Jonathan Oakes recently shot a series of portraits featuring D-Day veterans for the Royal British Legion 60-year anniversary appeal.

He was also commissioned for a major worldwide campaign for the UK government's Trade & Investment Bureau.

Last year, he agreed to shoot a campaign of portraits for the United Jewish Israel Appeal in Tel Aviv whilst missiles rained down on the north of the country.

He is currently working on a project for Onitsuka Tiger, the Japanese footwear and clothing brand worn by Uma Thurman in the Kill Bill movies.

He has been applying his "Modern Portrait" style to advertising and design projects for almost 20 years, and is looking to develop further working relationships with clients outside the UK.

Julie Fisher Photography advertising photographers

London-based Julie Fisher says she loves the freedom of shooting on location.

When asked about the types of people she likes to photograph, she replies, 'all kinds of people, no matter their age, size or shape - I particularly enjoy working with street-cast people and the natural spontaneity they bring to the shoot.'

Some of her recent clients include Tesco, QS stores and John Lewis.

Passionate about her personal projects as well as her commercial work, Julie has been working a lot with video... 'exploring its potential and versatility'.

Mark Westerby people & lifestyle photographers

Mark Westerby specialises in location work - people, landscapes, animals, cars... - and has worked on location in many different countries.

As is evident from the shots we show here, he likes to 'keep it natural and moody, with big landscapes, big shots, on location...'

Michael Heffernan people & lifestyle photographers

London-based Michael Heffernan has 20 years experience.

Whether using models or street casting, he says that his aim is always to shoot images that are spontaneous and natural looking.

In what has been a busy year, one of the recent highlights was shooting for Nokia on location worldwide. Michael was commissioned to photograph images for the launch of a range of four new handsets. Cape Town, Barcelona, New York and Hong Kong featured as locations and each of the four shoots utilised local producers and models sourced from around the world.

Other clients include Cadbury, T-Mobile and KPN. He is currently shooting in Cape Town for a leisurewear brand.

Nick David people & lifestyle photographers

Photographing both at home in the UK and worldwide, Nick David's approach to photography is to 'keep it simple'.

Most of his work is based on real situations - recent campaigns for the UK Government and Sport England in particular illustrate his reportage approach.

Other clients include a two-week shoot for Comic Relief in Africa, documenting the young lives of Malawi street children plus extensive work for the charity Shelter.

His style works well across a broad range of assignments and he says that he is equally at home shooting lifestyle campaigns for Virgin Healthcare, images for the new FRANK Report or portraits for large corporations.

He is currently working on a new major UK project commissioned by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport.

Nick Dolding advertising photographers

Nick Dolding is just back from shooting in Mexico.

Some background to the images shown here:

  • The Elvis test shoot came about after seeing an Elvis wobbler on a car windscreen.
  • The Canon shoot was art directed by Chris Sharp at Tequila London and was shot in Cambridge and London with the helicopter being flown to the location and parked in the space.
  • Whilst shooting the Canon campaign, Nick and his team found some great locations for the 50s bathroom series.

In addition to Canon, his recent projects include work for Hellmann's mayonnaise through Ogilvy, O2 through VCCP, and ongoing work for Teamspirit in London which included shooting from pod to pod on the London Eye.

Paddy Eckersley advertising photographers

Paddy Eckersley shoots lifestyle and landscapes. He feels these disciplines sit well together at the same time as indulging his passion for travel.

He shoots both corporate and advertising for international clients and agencies in the US and Europe.

His latest assignment was for a major UK hotel group shooting promotional material for their flagship hotel on the bonny banks of Loch Lomond...

Stuart Wood people & lifestyle photographers

Stuart Wood's work is varied, but his specialities are people and lifestyle, where his ability to easily and quickly connect with people mean that he is especially successful in getting his subjects to open up and bringing more out of them.

Apart from regular commissions for his TV and magazine clients, a lot of his assignments are in corporate portraiture, book commissions and annual reports for the likes of Taylor Herring PR Company, Cartoon Network and UKTV. Again, this is an area where he feels his open and relaxed style helps his business subjects feel at ease.

His publishing and advertising clients include Coca-Cola, Portakabin, Radio Times, FourFourTwo magazine and BT.

Being based in Derby is an advantage, says Stuart, as he can easily get to most places in the UK, with much of his work being in London.
