Hamburg: Bernd Ebsen advertising photographers

Bernd Ebsen works as a freelance photographer. Since the early 90s, he has been concentrating on still life photography from his studio in central Hamburg.

He is specialised in taking images in large magnification and likes to follow the forms and material descriptions that appear in his work.

Bernd is member of the BFF, the German Association of Freelance Photographers.

He is adamant that these same principles should be applied from the biggest adverting projects though to editorial shoots and the simplest cut-out product shots.

Johanna Parkin is a London-based advertising and editorial photographer specialising in still-life.

Johanna's upbringing in New Zealand instilled in her a love of striking colour and intriguing nature that often greatly influences her work. Her stylised images are beautifully crafted and refined, often having a tangibly graphic, hyper-real and illustrative quality to them, which she achieves through a perfectionist's approach to creating captivating lighting.

This year, Johanna was a finalist in both the Association of Photographers' Awards and the AOP Open.

She works from her studio in Islington and her clients include Volkswagen, Epson, Nestlé, Barclaycard, McDonalds, Knorr, Sisley, Ferrero Rocher and The Guardian Weekend.

Jonathan Knowles London advertising photographers

Jonathan Knowles is well known throughout the advertising industry as the "liquid man". Clients and agencies worldwide travel to his London-based studio to shoot specialist liquid and drinks campaigns.

He has great problem solving abilities and loves working with art directors to create their vision. When it comes to still life and people shoots, Jonathan has a natural ability to transform everyday objects into something special. His style is very distinct, with a strong graphic feel.

This year Jonathan has shot for Budweiser, Guinness, Grant's and Warburtons amongst many others. He has also had international shoots with Saatchi & Saatchi South Africa, McCann Erickson Prague and Ogilvy New Zealand.

Jonathan has also produced a number of best-selling album sleeves for Ministry of Sound and Cream.

Karin Taylor is an east London-based photographer with more than 10 years experience working in still life.

With an ongoing passion for beautifully-lit classic still life, she constantly produces new work and relishes the challenges set by her extensive list of clients.
