London: David Parfitt advertising photographers

With more than 20 years experience in still life photography, David Parfitt has built a reputation not just for his elegant use of lighting and composition, but also for his patience and obsessive attention to detail.

From the biggest of advertising projects though to editorial shoots and the simplest cut-out product shots, he is adamant that these same principles must apply. This philosophy is endorsed by the many clients that return to him year in, year out.

Berlin: Jens Bösenberg

For many years, Jens Bösenberg has been addressing the aesthetics of everyday life. The Berlin-based still life photographer discovers unique elements in objects that are often overlooked when viewed superficially. In his photographs everyday items become objects with vivid, tangible forms. Jens turns photos into compositions, into pleas for a second glance - they thus become "living stills."

Jens began his career by training as a photographer. After completing several personal projects he studied communication design in Darmstadt, and has since worked as a freelance photographer in Frankfurt am Main and currently Berlin.

Jen's works are not simply photographs - they are interpretations of everyday life. He has used his eye for detail to create motifs for advertising campaigns and magazines, for corporate communications, media and image publications.

He has worked for clients including BMW, Daimler Chrysler, DHL, Ferrero, Humboldt - Universität zu Berlin, Siemens, Sony and Süddeutsche Zeitung in cooperation with agencies such as Heimat, Huth + Wenzel, Jung von Matt, MetaDesign, Nordsonne Identity, Publicis, Saatchi+Saatchi, Scholz & Friends and TBWA.

London: Michael Harvey advertising photographers

Michael Harvey is a London-based photographer specialising in still life. Working out of his south London studio, his graphic aesthetic has led him to be a favourite with design and advertising agencies alike.

His work is defined by his striking flashes of colour and cool monochromatics. A master of light in both the studio and on location, this year Michael has been applying the same graphic eye and emotive lighting to portraiture - earning him an award in Creative Review's 2009 Photography Annual.

Fluent in five European languages, Michael's easy nature and enthusiasm for his work never fails to make his clients feel at home. Visit his website to see more of his commissioned and personal work.

London: Ray Massey advertising photographers

Ray brings all the facets of a production together, from set building, model making and background painters to hair, make-up and stylists, with high end digital retouching under one roof in a deconsecrated church in London's Camden Town, NW1.

Photography and computer manipulation are two interdependent elements of the same process of image creation, which can be carried out concurrently, shooting bespoke elements as retouching is progressed in-house.

A background in special effects and problem solving prepared Ray for his inimitable drinks and liquids photography.

Noted for his international work, recent commissions include clients based in London, New York, Moscow, Istanbul, Dublin, Hamburg, Warsaw, Athens, Dubai and Lagos.

London: Richard Foster advertising photographers

Richard Foster's successful career has already spanned 20 years and doesn't appear to be letting up. During this time he has acquired a beautiful studio and a unique team of in-house assistants and retouchers.

His determination and passion for a challenge has led to recent work with clients including Gucci, Burberry, Dunhill and Rolls Royce, and while his photography continues to progress, his interests in the moving image have come to the fore with commissioned work from DeBeers diamonds and Gu luxury puddings.

Timothy Hogan New York

New York and London-based photographer Timothy Hogan thrives on challenge. Whether in photography, film, or on his surfboard, nothing motivates him more than the thrill of a physical and personal challenge.

This motivation comes across in the diverse range of subjects he covers, whether jewellery, beauty, liquids, or a recent project exploring the way fire consumes luxury clothing. Regardless, each image displays precision and purity, where the subject is hero and relies on light and composition to draw out its inner beauty.

Tim recently shot projects for Visa, Glenmorangie, Tommy Hilfiger and Garrard, and will soon be launching a new motion section on his website.

Tim is represented in New York by Vaughan Hannigan and in London by Morgan Lockyer.
