STILL LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY Nov 2009

: Berlin: Jens Bösenberg

For many years, Jens Bösenberg has been addressing the aesthetics of everyday life. The Berlin-based still life photographer discovers unique elements in objects that are often overlooked when viewed superficially. In his photographs everyday items become objects with vivid, tangible forms. Jens turns photos into compositions, into pleas for a second glance - they thus become "living stills."

Jens began his career by training as a photographer. After completing several personal projects he studied communication design in Darmstadt, and has since worked as a freelance photographer in Frankfurt am Main and currently Berlin.

Jen's works are not simply photographs - they are interpretations of everyday life. He has used his eye for detail to create motifs for advertising campaigns and magazines, for corporate communications, media and image publications.

He has worked for clients including BMW, Daimler Chrysler, DHL, Ferrero, Humboldt - Universität zu Berlin, Siemens, Sony and Süddeutsche Zeitung in cooperation with agencies such as Heimat, Huth + Wenzel, Jung von Matt, MetaDesign, Nordsonne Identity, Publicis, Saatchi+Saatchi, Scholz & Friends and TBWA.
