Cape Town Productions Cape Town photo production

It's been a wonderful winter for Cape Town Productions. The company shot for four weeks in Mauritius with JD Williams, and five weeks in Athens with photographer Markus Meuthen for client Chevrolet through the Ignition Group. Martijn Oort also included South Africa in his Mercedes calendar shoot.

Witt Weiden and Mini Boden have just completed their recent shoots. Vic Andrea art directed Boden with Rick Truscott shooting, whilst John Owen shot Gray and Osbourn in Cape Town in October. Photographer Helmut Claus shot for Siemens, and Kristian Schuller shot an amazing campaign for Swatch.

Martijn Oort and Holger Wild are currently shooting for Mercedes, Simon Puschmann for Citroen, Dan McNally for Opel, Ruud Baan for Intersport, Claire Richardson for John Lewis, and Andreas Hempel for Vaata, while Rhody Sims shot a catalogue for Rowlands (thanks to Paul Tuttle for that one).

First Productions is looking forward to sending Peter Hahn to the magnificent Victoria Falls in February, and producing for Lamborghini in December.

Gavin Schneider Productions Cape Town photo production

Gavin Schneider Productions produces TV commercials, print advertising, catalogue, photo library and editorial shoots.

The company is proud to have recently produced for Brazilian Vogue and Chinese Harper's Bazaar.

Currently in production are Hackett Spring/Summer with Magnus Reed, Orange Mobile Worldwide, Avon, Clarks UK, Nivea and Sudafed advertising campaigns.

Thanking all its clients for their continued support and looking forward to what is shaping up to be another busy season, when asked to sum up its services the company said "The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra".

Dynamic duo Amanda Coulson and Danielle Vukic, otherwise known as The Worx Productions, have had an early and fun-filled start to their 2007/08 season. With vast experience and a professional demeanour, the company now boasts an international clientele ranging from across Europe to the Middle East.

Steel Productions Cape Town photo production

Steel Productions kept busy during the African winter with marketing trips to the USA, UK, Scandinavia and Germany. Some contrasting winter projects also came along:

  • Outdoor brands Blacks and Millets timed their shoot perfectly to capture 100% real winter snow with photographer Chris Dawes.
  • Leo Burnett Chicago and photographer Graham Westmoreland shot Always in the Namibian desert to cover an education project the brand is funding for the children of the local San tribe.

The Cape Town summer arrived with a bang, and Steel kicked-off early by producing for:

  • Jupiter Images by local photographer Anton Robert.
  • Pfizer with agency Cline Davis by photographer Erwin Olaf.
  • Helvetic Tours with agency Noise, shot by Thomas Kalak.
  • Two luxury ladieswear catalogues - Spirit of the Andes shot by Sanders Nicolson and Eric Hill shot by Adrian Myers.

Freelink Cape Town photo production

Freelink predicts "things will get decidedly HOT! in Cape Town this coming season". Summer 2007 looks set to be another scorcher for the company, and indeed for the entire local industry.

With each new planeload of international and local models migrating southwards for the season, the scrims and tripods have blossomed early this year - and can be spotted hard at work down every second side-street.

Freelink's regular clients have already started booking their favourite crews, locations and restaurants, whilst a host of exciting new clients look set to make their debut shoots with the company.

After the completion of some very exotic productions on Venezuela's islands and Brazil's beaches, V.I.P. Productions' Cape Town team has been looking forward to this 2007/08 season's upcoming projects.

After welcoming regular clients Stockmann, Texmoda, Lapin House and Junior Magazine, V.I.P. was excited to work with new clients Golden Lady, and Celine. The remainder of the season is also set to be very promising, with productions both for well established and new clients already scheduled.

The reasonable Rand to Euro exchange rate and the latest cost reduction and simplification in location permitting should be good news for the current production season, certainly in terms of attracting international business into the local market.

V.I.P. Productions welcomes briefs and layouts from clients in order to submit accurate cost estimations to both regular and new customers alike.

EuroConnection South Africa Cape Town commercial production

Executive Producer and owner of EuroConnection Julie Van Damme participated in June's Zurich SHOWCASE event. The SHOWCASE provides the leading business platform for photography worldwide. She also spent three months in Europe during the South African winter visiting the top photography and advertising agencies.

Infidels Cape Town photo agents

With the end of 2007 fast approaching, Infidels photographers have been very busy finishing off the year with a bang.

  • Caroline McClelland recently shot for Gillette (Braun/Proctor & Gamble). Hello UK commissioned her to travel to Shamwari Game Reserve and capture former England captain Will Carling and his family on holiday. She shot for Enamor lingerie and is currently with Scholz & Friends in Budapest shooting their 2008 R1 Cigarettes campaign. Recent campaigns in SA include shoots for Yardley, Truworths, Pearl Valley Golf Estate, and editorials with Elle, Seventeen and Pursuit magazines.

  • Crispian Plunkett shot Wella through Lobeduleoburnett Jhb, CUBE for TV with King James CT, a print campaign for Powerade and Schweppes with Lowebull CT, and a worldwide print campaign for Castrol through Ogilvy & Mather CT. Crispian also produced editorials for VISI, Elle, and Absolute magazines.

  • Stephen Greeff returned from Europe after shoots for Sony Cybershot (Germany), Avon Cosmetics (Poland) and Baileys (Poland).

  • Nicholai Fischer completed a cover shoot for Wonderland Magazine with Cillian Murphy and work for L'officiel in Paris, Italian Amica and iD magazine.

Jollykop Photography - Damon Fourie Cape Town photo agents

Jollykop Photography represents and produces photographer Damon Fourie, now based in Cape Town after living and working in both Paris and New York. The company produced some of the photographer's shoots in New York, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Mocambigue.

Jollykop is also a Service Production Company open to other clients visiting South Africa, the most recent intricate highlight being the Rayban 'Never Hide' campaign for the Cutwater Ad Agency from the United States.

Latest news from the Fotofactory photographers:

  • Gerda Genis shot a glamorous campaign for South African fashion designer Errol Arendz. She also shot the Swedish Josefssons catalogue for the eighth successive year.
  • Robbert Koene shot travel photos in Botswana and photographed the new Kong & Roast restaurant in Johannesburg. Gallo Images commissioned him to shoot their latest 'green' stock images, whilst he shot the Foschini Valentines campaign and the new range of Woolworths kids clothing.
  • Kristina Stojiljkovic shot the 'Kids Changing the World' campaign for Woolworths World.
  • Dawie Verwey continues to add to his impressive portfolio. Featured in this Showcase is a beautiful spread he shot for Visi magazine.

Also represented by the Fotofactory are Mark Cameron, Donovan Fichardt, and James Meakin.

Bryan Traylor Cape Town car & transportation photographers

Locker 14 Films and Photography was given the exciting opportunity to launch Hummer for South Africa. Namibia was the backdrop for what was an amazing adventure.

The company also won the launch for the new Lancer Sport from Mitsubishi, along with the complete brochure campaign (both studio and location).

The team's photographers are currently having great fun with the new Maserati Gran Turismo, a truly photogenic automobile.

Recent productions at Curve Space include:

Some recent studio improvements include the installation of a ready-to-paint and removable floor in the brown studio, along with a new kitchenette in the upstairs studio.

The recently opened I/O Photographic Lab provides a state-of-the-art digital processing and postproduction centre, managed by Frank Hoppler. Digital services are provided both in house and on location.

Little Yellow Jacket Cape Town digital capture

September saw Little Yellow Jacket, London's premiere bespoke digital capture company, launch in Cape Town. Highlights included two long safari shoots with world class clients. Digital capture for Harpers Bazaar was followed by digital capture and retouching for Peter Lindbergh.

Ice Models Cape Town models/ fashion

Candice Swanepoel of Ice Models South Africa was chosen as one of the 'Angels' who hit the catwalk on Thursday 15th November at the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show in Los Angeles. The show featured the most beautiful women in the world wearing the very latest Victoria's Secret lingerie.

Candice Swanepoel joined international models Adriana Lima, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolina Kurkova, Miranda Kerr, Izabel Goulart and Selita Banks in a fashion show spectacular.

ICE is proud that four of its girls featured in this years' Sports Illustrated Swimwear Edition: Megan McKenzie, Elbe vd Merwe, Gabriella Davids and Joelle Kayambe.

Top local model Andrea Ashton is the new face of the Rage campaign. Oliver Makangila featured in Men's Health Guide to Style.

The company's acting division has landed two more film roles. Saint John Alexander can be seen in 'Oil on Water' and Vince Andrews in 'Scorpion King'.

Outlaws Model Agency Cape Town models/ fashion

A round up of news from Outlaws Model Agency:

  • Lyndall Jarvis: The previously LA-based beauty has returned home. Having barely touched down on South African shores, she jetted off to Bali to shoot the annual Cosmopolitan Swimwear Edition and was heard chatting happily with DJ Suga on Good Hope FM.

  • Wade Cowan: Returning from Europe where success seemed almost natural, the high-spirited Mr Cowan has added a few well known clients to his resume, having featured in presentations and shows for Versace and Diesel. He ended his trip by shooting the new campaign for the Chiara eyewear range.

  • Roxy Louw: Surfing champion Roxy Louw has recently been riding the wave of modelling success. The blonde beauty has been shooting numerous campaigns for Woolworths. She recently saved seven people from a sinking vessel off Clifton beach, proving that she's not just a pretty face but a heroine too!

  • Dewald Nolte: The Electrical Engineering student from Somerset East in the Eastern Cape has been taking the Cape Town market by storm, working on numerous catalogues and appearing in editorials for GQ, Men's Health and FHM. He also recently featured in the Nivea 'Convertible' ad for SA TV.

This season Fusion Models has welcomed numerous international models from all over the world, coming from places like New York, Los Angeles, London, Tel Aviv, Hamburg, and Denmark to spend the summer in South Africa.
