Christian Gaul Sao Paulo advertising photographers

Christian Gaul was born in Essen, Germany, but arrived in Brazil - the country which would become his home and source of inspiration - at the age of four.

Author of four individual expos and one collective, he entered the photo industry in 1993 via editorial and advertising shoots. In 1997, he became senior photographer at Trip Magazine, a publication that completely revolutionised the editorial business in Brazil.

There until 2004, he had the opportunity of travelling to numerous places inside and outside of Brazil, immersing himself in long term projects and perfecting his ability and passion for storytelling. Also, with a much more natural look, his work had a fundamental role in the study and development of the nude in contemporary Brazilian photography.

Today, Christian is one of Brazil's top fashion and advertising photographers. His most recent work include Latin American campaigns for Levi's, Motorola, and Dove, among others.
