Another great month of beautiful weather and exciting work has gone by.
Well known professionals from Germany, such as Axl Jansen, Martin
Bauendahl and Dorothea Craven plus Belgium-based Andrea Lennon have been working with us in Barcelona on their Campaigns and Catalogues.

As the city offers numerous beaches and a vast variety of architecture,
easy access to countryside locations and beautiful landscapes nearby,
Barcelona receives more and more teams of film and photo.

Nonetheless we at SETUP Productions maintain a steady service commitment and a growing range of experience in all aspects of production and publicity service. As always, you can see a great part of our work documented in the Making Of section of our website.

VOO, an Audio-visual Producer in Barcelona, has recently been working on an audio-visual for INDO Company.

INDO, with presence in the international market, has asked for the production of the audio-visual in 4 languages. It's directed to distributors in the optician sector with the purpose of presenting/displaying the characteristics and advantages of all the INDO's Edging Systems.

This interactive CD ROM incorporates digital animation, text, photographs, graphics and shootings of the production process.

The CD is guided by a character, animated in plasticine exclusively for INDO. The model is a lens, that presents and displays in order to help throughout the interactive CD in a likeable and amused way.

The film industry is taking over Barcelona.
At the moment there are eight films in different stages of production that Barcelona Plató Film Commission has had the pleasure to help during the past weeks:

'Mar Rojo' with actress Maribel Verdú and produced by Diagonal TV. 'Roma Santa', produced by Filmax and directed by Paco Plaza.
'Entre vivir y soñar' by Rodar y Rodar.
'Ouija', produced by Eleven Dreams.
'The Machinist', by Castelao Productions.
'Cuidado con esos tres', by ICC and starring again José Coronado. 'Against the tide', a documentary film about George Orwell.
'Hot Milk', Ricardo Bofill's polemical opera prima.

The APPE, Spanish Production Companies Association, assemble the most important Production Companies in Spain.

The APPE is member of the executive board of the CFP-E (Commercial Film Producers of Europe), that joins all the Production Associations around Europe, and it will be an important Association in the UE to solve all the problems that will come up for sure. The aim of the APPE is to give legal and labour support to its members against third parties.

Gabo is a well-known photographer, a talented soul catcher with humanity, based in Mallorca and Hamburg and represented in Barcelona, Milan and Munich.

Alfonso Ohnur has shot the new Intima Cherry campaign and directed the TV Commercial at Studio Alava 22.

Amedeo Volpe realized a stunning editorial for the magazine Dedicate.

Igor Borisov, after shooting the last Armani junior campaign, did Burberry Kids campaign for Spain and Portugal.

Pep Avila shot the European campaign for Calypso watches. He also just did the campaign for prestigious bathing suits label Dos Mares at Delta del Ebro. At the incredible locations in Mexico, Pep Avila shot the Sony campaign. The new Pedro Almodovar kid, Roberto Hoyas shot fall/winter fashion editorial for Magazine La Vanguardia with Pep Avila. For the August issue of Woman Magazine Pep Avila shot a beauty editorial.

Group model Andrés Valencoso, born 25 years ago in Tossa de Mar, was sent to NY, after having done several editorials and TV commercials in Spain. That's where famous photographers booked him for campaigns like Banana Republic, and for editorials like GQ with Walter Chin.

In Paris, Inez van Lamsweerde booked him for French Vogue, Luis Vuitton chose him for their new campaign with Jennifer Lopez, and he is going to be the new face of the perfume Allure from Chanel, shot by Patrick Demarchelier. 

New Faces: Rosemary Montgomery, Miriam Franch, Alba Ferre and Giulia Ambrosini were presented as the new stars of Group in the magazine D-Moda with photos from Toni Ayne and Joan Vallcorba.

Luiza Madejak will appear in the next issue of  "Vogue Novias" and last week she shot for the Avantgarde Campaign with Jordi Blancafort.

John went to Maldives to shoot for the best resort "Taj exotica Maldives".

We are proud to welcome Caroline Roy who was in the Video clip of Craig David.

The shooting for the next campaign for "El Caballo", collection fall/winter 2003/04 took place in Barcelona, with the most internationally successful Spanish Top Model of the year, Minerva (View).
