Spain: 360° panorama shots for SEAT were shot on location in the Bardenas Desert by photographer Klaus Stemmler, production manager Heiko Kraft, through Elephant Seven agency Barcelona.

Spain: Ads for VODAFONE were shot on location in and around Barcelona by photographer Adam Hinton, art director Chris Beckles, art buying Karen Robins, agency JWT London. Production manager Gabriele Poppelreuter.

Mauritius: Photoshooting for Camel Active Wear with photographer Nick Clements on the Island of Mauritius, location scout Martin Kugler, production manager Gabriele Poppelreuter, art director Christoph Kriege, agency CGT Hamburg.

SONY - During July and August, Sonda Productions organised a 7-day shoot for the new Sony catalogue for digital cameras and other PDAs. German photographer Volker Wenzlawski and agency Rapp Collins Direct Friends went all over Catalonia to take a series of lifestyle pictures.

SEAT - In August, SONDA Productions shot in the South of Spain and Portugal for the new campaign for the new SEAT Toledo launching this month in Paris. The photographer was Mario Toscani in co-production with Capetown Productions. The creative side was covered by Jason Bramley from agency Atletico Internacional.

BMW - At the end of August and beginning of September, SONDA Productions organised a top-secret production in Spain for one of the first pictures of the new BMW 3 series directly for BMW Munich.

First Service Factory in Barcelona represents Wolfgang Jaiser exclusively for Spain. The German director currently moved to Barcelona, saying: “The pulsing city inspires the creative work of a film director”.

His professional career from creative director and for many years now as commercial director has driven him to create a close team with the agency. “Only team work is good work,” he says.

Among others he won the bronze medal at the New York Festival for “leading to results” a corporate film for Deutsche Bank and two finalist awards for "station id's-ZDF-re-design" and “Direktanlagebank –basketball sponsoring”. For his spot BISS he got the "young directors award in Cannes" and "Art Directors Club Auszeichnung" in Germany.

Wolfgang speaks German, English and as well a medium level of Spanish.

In August, Mundo Studios completed the filming of two commercials for YSA Ossard Latge, Paris - directed by Bruno Decharme both on location and in the studio.

Nodo Moda have just completed their latest Kids Fashion campaign for Mayoral.

Skilled and pretty faces choose Barcelona as its film set.
Not only have pretty and glamorous actors and actresses been visiting Barcelona lately for professional reasons, but also renowned directors and professionals are more and more choosing Barcelona to set their stories. 2004 has brought to our city big names as Bo Derek, Penélope Cruz, Calista Flockhart, Mathew McConaughey, Cayetana Guillén-Cuervo, Alejandro Amenábar, Pedro Almodóvar, Ventura Pons, Leonor Watling, Luis Tosar or Javier Bardem, among many others - either to act, shoot or promote their latest works.

Through the Barcelona Plató Film Commission alone, at least 20 films and 7 TV-movies have been shot this year in the city, not to mention the many shorts, documentaries and TV-programs that have also taken place. So far a total of more than 300 shootings in 2004. Let's work to keep it up!

Candela Fernández (La Mari, El último señor de los Balcanes, Cuéntame...), Lluis Homar (La Mala Educación, Valentín, La Ciudad de los prodigios, Morir o no), Juli Mira (Sprint especial, Las voces de la noche, La Mari...) and Gemma Brio star in the new TV-movie "Life without fear" (Viure sense por). The movie is a co-production between In Vitro Films, Carolina Films, TVC, Canal 9, Formato Video, Canal Sur and TVG. Shooting for the film will begin on September 27th in various locations in the Barcelona province.

Written and to be directed by Carlos Pérez, the movie narrates the story of Anne, a thirty-year old woman with a two-year old baby who lives under the constant fear of her husband, "El Jero", who's being released from the jail where he's spent the last two years.

Photographer Francesc Vilallonga is one of the photographers selected by Judit Mascó (SSM) for the launch of her first book, which covers her career as a top model and her experiences all around the world. Francesc Vilallonga and Judit Mascó have been working together for several magazines such as Woman, HOLA! and AR.

Buki Ebiesuwa, Maila Martín and Ana Páramo were the stylists and - as always - Lewis was the make-up artist (Servimatge).

Francesc Vilallonga is well-known for his natural taste in portraits and fashion. Vanesa Lorenzo, Custo, Manuel Fuentes, Verónica Blume are some examples.

Within the framework of Barcelona Fashion Week, the new image of fashion firm Konrad Muhr has been presented - produced by Miquel Arnal, also author of the original company image.

In this piece of work, Arnal plays with the concept of hidden duality in anyone's personality, in order to show an unknown side of the same firm: a practical demonstration, through the art, that nobody has one single face.

Assumpta Baldó Retouch: New studio in Barcelona.

After her 10 years experience in digital retouching with J.M. Roca, Assumpta Baldó is now working in her own studio.

She has worked mainly for advertising photography, but her latest works also include fashion photography and magazines.

In her own words: “I'm aiming to be a part of the creative process which starts in the photographer's mind and ends with the correct copy-proof.”

Jessica Stam came to Barcelona Fashion Week as the exclusive star of the Josep Font show spring/summer 05.

Estel Rovira, one of our international models, came straight from New York to Barcelona in April to shoot the latest campaign for Victorio&Lucchino Perfume Carmen with Enric Galcerán.

Francina International Modelling Agency and Options by Francina Models Agency moved offices in June to Calle Córcega 300, Barcelona.

The opening party was held on July 14th. Fashion celebrities including Mar Saura, Noel Van Ravenstein and Delphine Bafort; politicians; journalists; models like Carla Collado, Jörgen Wahlgren, Marta Español, Erik Fuhrmann, etc; and many others from the fashion industry had the pleasure of sharing Francina's important event.

Our kids James Frahm, Tommy Frahm, Claudia Harris, Olympia Harris and Conrad Arimon have also been prominently featured in the Burberrys Kids catalogue by Igor Borisov. Claudia Harris was featured on the new Burberry Adults catalogue. Olympia Harris, Eric Yanguas, Denise Maestre and Victor Merchan were shot by Enrique Badulescu for new Zara catalogue. And Tommy Frahm, David Tous and Lluis Milà were shot by Tono Balaguer for Lacoste catalogue.

David Guilló has been chosen for the new Lacoste campaign, shot last July in Paris with photographer J.M. Ferrater. He has also been chosen for Diesel underwear and L’Oreal.

Remy Hollwick flew to Barcelona to shoot the fall-winter campaign for Oysho with photographer Patricia de Gregorio.

The new fragrance for Mango is going to be launched soon and Aurelie Massinguer will be its face. She is currently in Barcelona for the production, which will be shot by Eugenio Recuenco (graphics) and Mattias Senden (TV).

Stephanie Boss shot the watches campaign "Paul Versa" with the well-known bullfighter Fran Rivera, and last July Judith Bedard shot with Jaume de la Iguana the new collection for "Etxart & Panno".

For yet another season, La Sal has undertaken the creative and art direction of the international advertising campaign for the Autumn-Winter 04-05 collections of the fashion firm Massimo Dutti.

The photographic shoots were carried out by photographer J.M. Ferrater.

The campaign, which was set in New York and Hamptons, revolves around the concept of “Moments”. All the collections have their own visual code communicating fashion, nowness, sensitivity and style.

La Sal is currently working on the conceptualisation of the Massimo Dutti Spring-Summer 05 campaign.

MEDIMED 2004 - A unique Euro-Mediterranean Documentary Market - 8th & 10th October 2004 - Sitges, Catalunya, Spain. In this 5th edition of MEDIMED, more than 60 buyers and executives of the main international television channels have confirmed their attendance: BBC, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, GLOBO SAT, YLE, FRANCE 5, WDR, NRK, as well as RTVE and TELEVISIÓ DE CATALUNYA.

MEDIMED 2004 will present 20 DOCUMENTARY projects, selected by an international jury, of among a total of 105 from 21 European countries and from the south of the Mediterranean, and 200 finished DOCUMENTARIES, selected among 253 entered from 23 Euro-Mediterranean countries.

July 2004 - Kiko Casanova was very busy as an Espromot Precision Driver. He did a very special job: Mini Cooper’s - John Cooper Works - photo shooting. For seven days we rented the two most important racetracks in Spain - Circuit de Catalunya and Valencia. We used the Citroen GTI Turbo Camara car for this shooting. Always slick and fast. August 2004 - We did our most exciting shoot ever. We are talking about Play Station GT4. We had to work hard but finally we were able to use cars like: Aston Martin, Lotus Elise, Iso Grifo, Porsche GT3, TVR, ... Production company "The Lift”.

Moviemach took part in the latest edition of CINEC (the 5th International Trade Fair for Motion Picture Technology, Postproduction and Event Engineering – Munich, Germany 18-20th September 2004)
They presented the latest Multiemach equipment and announced the launch of a new product in the coming months: a long, extendable hot head with three axes programmable for all types of cameras, especially good for movements shots.

Contacts from India, China, Philipines, Thailand and South Africa are coming next month to Spain to have a look at the latest Multiemach products.

The filming of "De Moda", the first Spanish television series which was shot in high definition (HD) has just been completed. The eight-month shoot was done exclusively in Barcelona

Sony Pictures Television International and Diagonal TV hired Ovide BS for technical support for the HD equipment.
