Why 46 Pictures?

The bikini was invented by French engineer Louis Réard in 1946. Human cells have 23 pairs of chromosomes totaling 46 per cell. The number 46 was worn by Yankee pitcher Andy Pettite who is the only major league pitcher who played at least 18 seasons without having a losing record in any season. Lastly, Maker’s 46 is a complex whisky with a taste that doesn’t need to be acquired.

Donald Graham is an internationally recognised portrait and fashion photographer who works across fashion, movies, music, magazines and advertising.

"It has always been all about the Moments for me. When I was little, I was gypsying around the world with my parents. When I was a little less little, I was a successful actor in Hollywood. It was all very exotic. My little sister, Soleil Moon Frye, joined me in front of the lens and she quickly became the darling of the 80s.

I eventually left acting to study literature and returned to Hollywood with an eye for storytelling. My sister and I directed a movie together. I gave in completely to the power of image making. I called on our milieu of famous friends to begin my portfolio and wove them into my varied projects. The celebrity work expanded into the music industry and eventually into advertising.

Los Angeles based automotive photographer Richard Thompson III draws on a life-long love of cars to create high energy, atmospheric imagery for his clients.
