    James Ransom is an award-winning, New York-based food and interiors photographer. He specialises in colour and is known for creating dramatic, arresting imagery that draws you into the moment.

    James cut his teeth shooting for Food52 and was pivotal in developing the look and feel of their brand, which has drawn attention from all over the world. Since then he has gone on to shoot both stills and motion for leading editorial and commercial brands like Godiva, Kate Spade, Martha Stewart Living, Target and Restoration Hardware, to name a few.

    He is one of the nicest people you'll ever work with and has a work ethic second to none.

    "Hello. My favorite color is black. I detest beets, but will eat pretty much anything else. When I'm not taking photographs, I'm either playing soccer or watching it. #becausefútbol.

    I speak Spanish fluently.

    I grew up in the Jell-O Belt, met my wife in the Last Frontier, and we now reside in the Center of the Universe with our four beautiful children.
