Harniman London advertising photographers

‘Every Star Needs It’s Extras’ - "2020 started in freezing cold January shooting cars (and a lone warrior!) at a castle in the stunning landscapes of Scotland with McCann and Vauxhall for their Grandland and Crossland SUVs press campaign.

More shoots followed with Ford, not released yet (watch this space!) an interview on Production Paradise blog :) and an invitation to be a speaker at ‘The UK Photography Show’, then we all know how things changed.

Lockdown life has given an unexpected chance to reflect and during that time, we have shot some personal work and collated our ‘Analogue Archive’ - an insight into film and rig image creation. Looking forward to getting back on location and in studio in a new way of working when we can."

Jonny Storey London Fashion & Beauty Photographers

"A small selection gallery of my most recent work from pre-Covid19 lockdown. With the slow unravelling of the lockdown restrictions I hope that the industry is now starting to look at image makers to refresh and help with the rebuilding of brands and magazines with a new outlook to this now changed planet.

Brands and magazines that I have worked with this year so far include GH Bass, Arcadia Group, shooting menswear campaigns for Burtons and womenswear with Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge, an ongoing assignment with Peugeot and Grazia shooting cars and travel, a new collab collection for Whistles and L.F. Markey, editorial shoots for Overdue Magazine and a cover and a 10-page story for Man of Metropolis."

Dean Northcott Photography London advertising photographers

Dean Northcott has had a very busy and successful 2019 with both his personal and commissioned work and a cracking start to 2020 before the global shutdown. His vibrant new style for his personal work saw him as a finalist at the 2019 AOP Awards and a winner at the 2019 Colour Awards. This led to exciting commissions in his commercial work with advertising shoots for Maverick, HM Government and O2 Arena, amongst others.

Born in New Zealand, Dean was raised on a diet of sport, barbeques and beach. After several years of world travel in his early 20s during which time he developed his sense of aesthetics, he arrived camera-in-hand in London in the early 90s and went on to study Photography at LCP.

A former semi-pro rugby player, a third Dan black-belt in karate and marathon runner, sport is at the epicentre of Dean's entire life and this is exemplified in the mood and texture of his work.

Michael Wharley London portrait photographers

Michael shoots characterful pictures of people. Be it a Hollywood star in the studio, or a small business owner sharing their working life, he finds personality and emotion in portraits that get under the skin and connect.

All his work is punchy, precise and beautifully lit, filled with detail, drama and real feeling.

New work includes: a major campaign for Lionsgate for the July release of Summerland, starring Gemma Arterton, portraits for star Gugu Mbatha-Raw and dramatic narrative images for Motorhome Marilyn and The Heart of a Tiger. His personal Natural Hair Portrait Project (see video) on afro-textured hair remains deeply relevant.

His studio at Waterloo in London is open for socially-distanced shoots with remote access for clients.

Oliver Oglesby London advertising photographers

"Since 2012, shooting for advertising has been key to my professional practice. Understanding every aspect of lighting and composition within a studio environment allows me to create the most compelling still life images to a highly commercial specification.

The years I have spent experimenting and creating commissioned projects within these genres has allowed me to grasp leading industry techniques, and innovate with unique compositions to fulfil any brief to its maximum potential.

My most recent work has been for a variety of jewellery clients, where I have enjoyed taking a creative approach to re-establishing their imagery and branding in full."

Christopher J Lane London advertising photographers

"'Come into the cold' was shot in February for the New Zealand clothing brand Kathmandu winter campaign. It was art directed by Glenn Gibbons, who I previously worked with on the Intercontinental hotel brand. We started in Tokyo capturing the frantic city and then travelled to the prefecture of Yamagata, famous for its for mountains, hot springs and temples. On Mount Zao, the snow covered conifers or “snow monsters”.

This was an amazing trip, and I was lucky to get it finished before the world locked down.

Big thanks to production from @beyond.tokyo @intrepidtravel, Kathmandu producer Rachel Kelly and the rest of the crew that made it happen."
