Welcome to Showcase New England, brought to you by Production Paradise. This issue features some of the leading creatives and services working out of New England.

More creative professionals and facilities for photographic and film production are available in our Boston Photo and Film directories.

Be sure to catch our recommended events:

  • In the Vanguard: Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, 1950-1969 exhibition explores how an experimental school in rural Maine transformed art, craft, and design in the 20th century and helped define the aesthetics of the nation’s counterculture. At Portland Museum of Art, until 8th September.
  • Georgie Friedman: Fragments of Antarctica - A waning beauty in an uncertain future. The exhibition presents fragments of a shrinking continent and raises questions about the need to document an ecology in peril. Exhibition invites visitors to reflect on their own relationship with the natural world—and consider an ice-bound landscape under threat by sweeping global changes. Until 16th September at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Our cover image was shot by Cheryl Clegg. The series focusses on the changes at the iconic Maine Harbor. At one time the lobster fisherman walked out of their doors right to the harbor, allowing them to work on their boats and gear with ease. Today more and more families that have lived and worked out of the harbor for generations are not able to afford the property on the water.

Scott Goodwin Boston advertising photographers

"I am a commercial photographer and video director based in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Over my 25+ years in the business, I have travelled extensively both nationally and internationally, collaborating with amazing clients in design, hospitality, corporate and the culinary worlds.

If I’m shooting commercially or on an editorial assignment, I elevate the impact of light, beauty, luxury and elegance to the most ordinary of products or subjects.

I have been fortunate to experience a broad range of passions and hobbies as well. I shoot competitive skeet and sporting clays; I’m a certified Re-breather scuba diver; I’ve raced cars on tracks from Florida to Canada with the Porsche Club; and I enjoy the simple life boating around Ipswich and the North Shore."
