A native of Venezuela, Hector was nurtured from an early age to appreciate the beauty that surrounded his exotic birthplace. His love affair with the power of beauty began while studying Design and Photography.

Working as a photographer in Venezuela pushed him to look for greater opportunity and he decided to move to New York, opening the door to a new world.

He started as an assistant make up artist for a good friend, which showcased his talent and sparked his passion to do make up.

Since that time, Hector has traveled and worked in numerous countries maintaining New York City as his home for over ten years.

In Summer 2017 Hector became the ambassador for Avon for Project Runway – season 16. He will be in charge for the makeup creations ad will appear on TV.

Hector has worked with famed photographers Warwick Saint, Greg Lotus, Terry Richardson, Matthias Vriens-McGrath, KT Auleta and Diego Uchitel, to name a few.

His work regularly appears in the pages of Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, and Interview, as well as international editions of Vogue, ELLE, W, Marie Claire and Glamour.

Recent campaigns include 3.1 Phillip Lim, Nicole Miller, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, L’Oréal, Elizabeth Arden and Schwarzkopf.

Some celebrities that Hector has worked with include Brooke Shields, Carrie Underwood, John Lithgow, Lauryn Hill, Lenny Kravitz, Hozier, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Amber Valletta, Shirley MacLaine, Morgan Fairchild, Paz de la Huerta and Sandra Oh.
