Dutch-born and Cape Town-based photographer Robbert Koene works from his daylight studio in the centre of Cape Town. He specialises in food, interior and travel photography.

A master of the use of daylight, Robbert expertly creates both innovative and specific moods as per client-briefs, both in the studio and on location. A traveller with a love for the African bush, Robbert often takes his Landrover Defender off the beaten track into Africa where he also does commission work for various Safari operators.

Robbert has worked for clients worldwide including Hema, Next, KFC, David Jones, Urbanara, Legendary Expeditions, Asillia Africa, Weylandts, Woolworths and SA Tourism.

Nick van Renen began his creative career as an art director, working on big brands at top Johannesburg agencies. He began taking photographs professionally and teamed up with legendary commercial photographer, Michael Lewis, for several years before branching off on his own.

Nick’s background in art direction carries through in his images, which have a distinctly crafted, illustrative style that he achieves through innovative post-production techniques.

His array of subject matter is broad, but with a particular focus on portraits, landscapes, cars as well as highly conceptual imagery that is influenced by his advertising background.

Nick has worked on campaigns for high profile brands such as Johnnie Walker, Renault, Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Isuzu, South African Tourism, Vodacom, Cell C, MTN, Sanlam, Kulula, Standard Bank, FNB, ABSA and Boardmans.
